@acelee @shinhoroko Admittedly, the times I scheduled for interpreting were for high EXP interpreters, but 25/hr still seems very low, especially for the grueling hrs, speciality needed, no transport/hotel and no mention of per diem for food, etc. Hopefully, as you said, maybe it’s not so intense?

@HProtagonista @shinhoroko honestly the hours are a bit off-putting, but it's not a really terrible rate depending how intense the actual interpreting minutes are.

@DougDinsdale My deepest and heartfelt condolences. It’s inadequate and from far away, but I’m so very sorry for your loss.

My wife died suddenly this morning out of the blue. Heart attack? Aneurysm? I know she didn't suffer. Probably gone by the time she hit the ground.

I am absolutely gutted. The inspiration behind me going into games, an incredible storyteller, and just a lovely man. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

@HProtagonista similar situation for me! I applied, but they didn't get back to me for a long time, and then they finally were interested after I got hired elsewhere. I feel like it was fate, looking at what happened to the company I'd idolized for so long

I remember applying to Blizzard back in 2008, but I got hired at XSEED right after. Months later I finally heard back from them for an interview. I’m very happy at the direction fate took me in, but it does make me wonder what that would’ve been like.

Just had a sit down with my financial advisors. They confirmed I don't have to work any more so long as I don't pitch a gambling addiction or other ruinous stupidity. So, fully retired now. The reality hasn't really set in, but I guess I'm free. Holy shit.
