@Reuters @amnesty Amnesty has double standards. When we examine the Turkey Report, we don't see any mention of the most victimised group, namely the Gülen movement. They have been purged by the Turkish government for the last ten years, and not a single mention of this fact by the Amnesty.

As HRD, we reiterate that the new penal execution regulation in Türkiye must be non-discriminatory, inclusive, and fair. Any exclusion based on political motives would clearly violate both the rule of law and fundamental human rights.

As part of our engagements in Vienna, we met with the Vice-President of the Venice Commission. During our meeting, we personally conveyed the severe degradation of the justice system in Türkiye, the inhumane prison conditions, and the legal absurdity that would arise if the new regulation excludes specific groups for political reasons.

As HRD, we participated in the #OSCE meeting held on March 16–17 in Vienna, Austria. Our primary and most urgent agenda item was the new "amnesty and penal execution regulation" currently on the legislative agenda in #Türkiye.
