The number of back seat innovators in this thread is crazy. People really have no idea how litigation works. Let me explain: You can be sued for anything, and if it involves patents, it will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars to prove obvious facts.

Ambient Arms released their suppressors today for sale on SilencerShop ($1,349) and this video showing how their system works. Makes sense as why they grabbed the front of the can in the live fire demo! Neat tech: cold air in-take possibly a mechanism for reducing sound as well, cooling and slowing propellant gasses.

@WeaponOutfitter I’d be curious to see it at 3, it should still be better than the red dot I’d assume. For me it was but I was using a gen2e vortex that was SFP so with FFP it could be harder to use the reticle.

I had an idea back in 2015 to make an extruded upper for the AR-15/M-16, kind of like the FN SCAR. I called it the SU-15. We made a few prototypes and even started taking deposits, then figured out it was too big a project for my little company. I still have people who hate me for not getting it done! Luckily, 10 years later, I'm working with Miller Precision Firearms to bring it to market, redesigned and improved, as the Avangard. Check out Miller Precision here: usampf.com

@WeaponOutfitter @Accitentially It will if the can isn’t actually suppressing much and is just letting the gas flow through. Im optimistic but this type of cooling has been done before and from what I recall it wasn’t super beneficial. Hopefully I’m wrong though.

@Accitentially That's not gonna have a huge difference with that volume of fire and time window shown TBH. It's similar to a muffler on a sports car and flooring it: it's gonna get HOT fast regardless of ambient temps.

Insane demo from Ambient Arms, posted December 22 on Instagram: Guy does 1.5 mag dumps, grabs the can with no ill effects. Can appears to have an intake of some time to prevent the suppressor from heating up. A normal can = burns on bare flesh after 1.5 mags
