@CoachSwit (1) comfortable. They have no fear on being pitched inside, being hit (2) pitch usually in the same location, especially if hitting off a machine. (3) main focus in the cage in hitting the ball hard / exit velocity. Situational hitting is not a focus.

Talked to a lot of H.S. Coaches this season saying they are seeing more players being very good cage hitters with high exit velo’s, but when the season came around they finished with a low batting average and low on base %. Anyone else seeing an increase in this? Thoughts?

@ASRHSAthletics @TomFlanaganUSA @MIAA033 It's all about margin of victory. Strength of schedule means little. Look across the 5 divisions and see how many made the top 32 with a negative opponent rating but a significantly plus margin of victory.

There does not need to be 5 divisions for @MIAA033 baseball (or hilariously 8 in football) and it’s OK that some teams aren’t good enough in some years to be in a postseason tournament. When did we lose sight of this?
