Manchester United fans keeps saying, Sir Alex Ferguson played counter attacking football to credit Carrick style of play. But.. They’ll never tell you that Sir Alex Ferguson football was also dominating in other not to discredit Carrick. Alex dominated the opponents in attack, midfield and defence while playing his counter attacking football. Carrick is succeeding at counterattacking but he is failing to dominate opponents and that isn’t a sustainable style of play cause it invites pressure on the team and will surely get found out and lead to mistakes.

Michael Carrick ball isn’t sustainable, despite the wins. Counterattacking football and underdog football will get found out and will lead to errors. Dominating games or the opponent is something he has lacked. I won’t give him the Manchester United job.

للمرة الالف اقولها ، كاريك ما قصر سوا الي عليه وزيادة و نحن مدينين له بالعودة للابطال بعد بداية مخيبة مع أموريم . لكن الي شفته لليوم ما خلاني اقتنع انه جاهز لوظيفة تدريب النادي على المدى الطويل . ادري انه الفوز اليوم ضد ليفربول زاد من رصيده عند الادارة ، لكن الي نشوفه بكل مباراة غير منطقي . من غير المنطقي انك تتقدم و بعدها تتراجع وتستقبل اللعب واللحظات الفردية تبقيك بالمباراة مثل تصدي او إنقاذ الخ. الادارة لازم تراجع ملف كاريك و تتخذ القرار بعيداً عن العاطفة.

@FPLfrasier Overpower means getting players like (for example) Olise, Kane, Kvara, Haaland, Kroos, Modric .. simply top quality players who can comfortably win you many games and reduce the pressure of pushing players above limits every game + they win you big games and titles as well.

@FPLfrasier I hope so. We need quality depth and overpower. Quality depth to maintain our level while rotating and overpower to kill games and reduce the workload, having to give %150 every game or needing certain players to play every game cause inconsistency and injuries.

We signed Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko, and Lammens without CL football. We can do madness with CL back at Old Trafford.

@ElijahKyama_ We have to remember Bruno will be 32, him & many others won’t be the same if overloaded, top teams need rotation and overpower factor, players like Kane, Olise and Kvara have enough quality that you don’t need 11 players giving %150 every match to win, it’s not sustainable!

@ElijahKyama_ Banter aside, Carra got a point, playing a game every 3 days can cause havoc if we haven’t got the squad for it, overloading players lead to underperforming and injuries while playing players who are below the level mean bad results and doubts. We need 7 top players, it’s a lot!

@Malachians Thought that they came a long way after they regained focus after the 2 goals and managed the game better, Carrick made good changes as well.

Utd would always find a way to lose any football match, this team still have that self destructive characteristic but they find a way to win. Significant work is needed this summer but everything is easier going to market as a Champions League club.

@Ellis_ Easy to say now, he wanted to finish them with counters and transitions, good plan, would’ve worked if we kept the lead but we gifted them 2 goals with pure individual errors and the game changed. He’s backing Amad and Senne in the interviews as well, what a manager!

Zirkzee for Sesko should’ve been the substitution not Amad…
