Lamar Odom says he almost put Mark Cuban through a locker after he kicked him in the shin at halftime of a Mavericks game
“My son died, he passed away from SIDS in 2006. I'm telling Mark Cuban this whole story. Like, yo, my son died in 2006. I'm letting him know the man he traded for, where I'm at. I wanted to quit in 2006. Mentally, that shit was hard to come back from, your son dying”
“Man, I'm having a bad game in Memphis. We in the fucking locker room. I'm gonna keep it real with you. We all Black men first. This white man got it in his heart to get his point across. He needs to kick me in my shin”
“Mark Cuban, time has passed. I forgive you. But if it wasn't for [Vince Carter], I was gonna put him through the locker and wash the locker room with him. But I don't want to disrespect the powerful. I understand where I'm at in life. I don't want to make him no enemy”

Natisha Hiedeman u18.5 R1 Score | +110
7.24.26 Play #1 | #WNBA3PT
At the end of the day, the top news source coming out of ASB is The Stud Bud 72hr Stream. We got nearly half the 3PT contest (Mabrey, Carleton, Fudd and Tish) all still active in Chicago at 3AM. Tish is still asleep.
Would put Mabrey and Howard in the category of Starry Ball upside, while Fudd/Carleton fall into 'peak Catch-and-Shoot'. Janelle Salaun sits as this outlier, who actually lead the field in 3P% at 39.4% this season. Every time I watch Salaun it seems like she pulls pure hand-in-face shots, though in her L7 games she has 3.9 FGA/gp off both Pullups and CnS.
Hiedeman is the outlier here whose volume is poor already, shoots just 34%, and cares more about the Studbud stream anyways.

@wade_andrew I feel like every other game the Valks coach just decides to play her bench big minutes and that's what happened last game to Burton.

WNBA Prop Thread for 7/8
Valks vs Tempo
- I got overzealous with my Burton assists play last Valks game, but I am ready to redeem myself here. The Tempo allow the 2nd most assists to guards in the entire W, and we have cashed nearly every single assists play vs the Tempo over the last three weeks. In games vs B5 teams in assists allowed to guards, Burton is averaging 3.6 more assists per game for a total of 7.8 per game. She is coming off a tough game vs the Mystics where the starters were effectively benched for the Valks leading to just 23 minutes from Burton so I like the buy-low. I also don't anticipate this being a great scoring matchup for Burton with the team defending isolation and PNR's effectively which accounts for 35% of her production.
- Julie Allemand is back in the lineup after missing last game unexpectedly. Without Sykes in the lineup, Julie is averaging nearly 20 Pas a game.
- On the flip side, Mabrey is averaging just under 7 Pas a game without Sykes/with Julie in the lineup and is getting a 3.5 assist line that is + money on the under. The value is in the under here against a strong Valks defense that protects the interior well (where Mabrey gets 66% of her production).
- I sneakily like Mabrey rebounds here. The Valks allow the 4th most rebounds to guards and a good chunk of that is due to long bounces off of 3 point attempts. The Valks and Tempo take the 1st and 2nd most 3s in the league here. A 3.5 rebound line looks nice.
- For the Tempo, getting in the paint will be tough, so it will have to come from deep. I am not a fan of Nyara here scoring the basketball but Maria Conde is in a decent spot given recent shot volumes with FGA of 8/14/10 in her last 3 and getting a bottom half of the league spot-up team.
- For the Valks, I was torn between Cecilia and Kayla Thornton on which low-prop player could go off tonight and I am settling on Kayla. Cecilia's minutes are highly variable and Janelle can easily take her place. Kayla at least has somewhat of a minutes floor and can bang down low a bit better. She is in a perfect buy low spot going 1-14 in her last two games. She now gets a team allowing the 2nd most points in the paint (where 22% of her production comes from) and is B6 against spot-up shooters (where 41% of her production comes from). They are also B2 vs forwards in points allowed and in these matchups, Kayla has cleared 10+ points 5/7 times.
- Not much else I like in this game so a bit shorter of a thread.

Gawd, the WNBA players are hilariously delusional.

@wade_andrew Let's be honest a lot of these WNBA coaches need a group seminar on consistent rotations that make sense to normal people.

Mercury vs Fever
- With Monique and Nogic out, Lexi Held has been getting the start for the Mercury. She has played 30 and 22 minutes the last two games but didn't get the majority of 4th quarter minutes last game vs the Fever. That said, the Mercury need guards who can shoot so I'm not concerned about her minutes going below that 22 minute floor. She has put up 12 FGA and 7 FGA in the two games, and we are finally getting lines for her after two games of radio silence from the books on Held props.
- Monique Billings had 10 rebounds last game vs the Fever with 6 of those coming on the offensive glass. Here's the thing though, there were several factors that led to this and one of them is the Fever rotations which are as about as consistent as summer afternoon weather in the mountains. She got a 6 minute stint to end the first and begin the second without AB in the game and she gathered 5 rebounds in this time including 3 minutes where she got run against the Mercury without AT or Mack in the game (she had 3 rebounds in this 3 minute stint).
- Natasha Mack is OUT. We will likely see heavier Kyara Linskens and Valeriane Ayayi minutes. Kyara almost exclusively gets the non-Mack minutes with Bonner/Ayayi filling in a few of those gaps. With Mack and Monique off the court, Kahleah Copper sees a 1.2 bump in rebounds. With those two + Nogic, Ayayi sees a +6.4 bump in points and +2.9 bump in rebounds albeit in a very small sample size. Bonner also sees a 2.2 point and 1.2 bump in rebounds.
- Mack being out also likely helps AB. AB went 2 for 9 last game with a mix of coverages and defenders being throw her way but the most prevalent was Mack on AB which allowed AT to try and be physical at the point of attack with Kelsey Mitchell and CC. AT is a very strong player so the post-up game is still going to be a challenge here, but there were open looks from deep especially on drives where AB's defender would leave her entirely to assist in the paint.
- Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham continue to alternate minutes with Sophie generally seeing a heavier workload as of late. Interestingly enough though, with Lexie off the court, the Fever have a +7.2 offensive rating advantage over their opponents whereas with Sophie in the lineup, the Fever have a -8.0 offensive rating disadvantage. Any who, both have solid matchups here. The Mercury allow the most points to ATB 3s in the league where Lexie gets 41% of her production and Sophie gets 59% of her production. The shot volume has been much better for Sophie though as she is averaging 7 FGA a game over her last 5 (including 5 last game vs Phx) and Lexie is averaging just 4.2. Lexie is getting a juiced 4.5 line after scoring 8 and Sophie is getting a shockingly high even odds 9.5 line after going o-fer.
- The Mercury have allowed the 4th most assists to guards with Jackie (9), Chelsea (9), Kelsey (7) and Erica (5) all going over in the last week. CC cleared her 7.5 line last game but had a high conversion rate. Don't hate it at 8.5 here but probably staying away.
