A two-megawatt windmill is made up of 260 tons of steel that required 300 tons or iron ore and 170 tons of coking coal, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons. It hold 700 gallons of oil and hydraulic fluid, and like car these need to be replaced every 9 months. People might fall for the idea that we can merrily run on sunshine and breezes, alone, but with a few trillion dollars worth of mythical mega-batteries providing backup for a few minutes, it could spin until it falls apart over and over again and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.

The highest number I could find would be 679k birds killed per year. That is roughly 2 per turbine. Even that sounds high.

They claim cats are the leading, human caused cause of bird deaths in the US and the number given is 2-4 billion

@Kekule9 @herr_ha_aus_be AKWs können so billig sein, wie du willst. Wenn sie nicht rechtzeitig da sind, helfen selbst kostenlose AKWs nichts mehr. Aktuell würde ich von Bauzeiten von mindestens 15 Jahre ausgehen, bevor auch nur ein AKW neu ans Netz gehen würde in Deutschland. Das ist zu spät.

Doch, das ist die zentrale Frage. In der Diskussion um AKWs geht es immer sofort um Kosten. Nie aber wird die Frage gestellt, was die Decarbonisierung denn ohne AKWs kosten wird. Und das ist ja auch logisch. Ideologen haben sich für Kosten noch nie interessiert. Sie nehmen sie nur als Argument, wenn es zum eigenen Narrativ passt.

Kann die #AKW-Fangemeinde folgende Fragen seriös beantworten? Wie viele Reaktoren wären bis wann realistisch baubar, zu welchen vollständigen Kosten pro kWh inkl. Endlagerung und Haftung – und welchen zusätzlichen Klimanutzen hätten sie gegenüber 100 % EE plus Speichern?

That already seems pretty high. Adding additional factors (indoor cats, older cats, etc.) that number seems pretty random.

Not to mention the thousands of birds it slaughters and how it destroys the land it's built on, and then gets buried as toxic waste after its brief lifespan. It was a scam from the beginning. There is real pollution in the world. Let's concentrate on fixing it and not add to it with Toxic polluting windmills

@V1Ulla @JHillje Im Vergleich zu vor 5 Jahren. Im Vergleich zur BT Wahl 2025 haben sie 7% verloren, während die Grünen sich mehr als verdoppelt haben. Und die AfD hat da übrigens auch verloren.

@difAnsicht @Perowinger94 Es geht mir darum, dass die CDU zwar im Vergleich zu vor 5 Jahren dazugewonnen hat, aber eben im Vergleich zur vor einem Jahr verloren hat. Ihre Politik überzeugt eben nicht. Ebenso wie die AfD seit Jahren über den baldigen Endsieg fabuliert, aber seit Jahren bei 20% fest steckt.

@difAnsicht @Perowinger94 Ich vergleiche natürlich nur die Ergebnisse aus BaWü mit den Ergebnissen aus BaWü. bundeswahlleiterin.de/bundestagswahl… Wie Sie sehen, hatte die Grünen ~14%, CDU 31-36% und die AfD fast 20%. Dagegen stehen jetzt 30%, 29% und 18%. Da ist kein rechter Sieg.

@Hackwar @Perowinger94 Es haben nur die Wahlberechtigten in BaWü gewählt und nicht diejenigen der übrigen (nicht zu vernachlässigenden) Länder - insofern schon nicht zu vergleichen Darüber hinaus ist die Bezugsgröße des Gewinns die vorherige Legislatur und nicht die Wahl eines anderen Parlaments

@Besser_Deniz Das wird so weitergehen. Auch, dass die Afd beim Irankrieg nicht voll eingestiegen ist, wird in (muslimischen) migrantischen Milleuis zur Kenntnis genommen. Die meisten sind nicht links und so öffnet sich auch für sie eine "Alternative".

Der einzige Wahlbezirk, in dem die AfD in Baden-Württemberg – wenngleich knapp – das Direktmandat gewonnen hat, ist Mannheim I, zu dem die meisten Mannheimer Stadtteile mit hohem Anteil an Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund gehören, darunter… /2

@Besser_Deniz @AhmadMansour__ Gut so. Die menschen müssen erkennen, daß sie links-grüne politik in den Untergang reißt. Leider waren dieses Mal noch zu viele einelullt vom staats-probaganda-funk.

@difAnsicht @Perowinger94 Weil der Vergleich zur Wahl vor 5 Jahren aus meiner Sicht weniger aussagekräftig ist als der Vergleich zur Wahl vor einem Jahr. Es haben die selben Leute abgestimmt und die Ergebnisse sind da insgesamt interessanter. CDU und AfD haben demnach beide verloren.
