European football and mid table level seasons according to xG only to finish 17th last season and will finish either 17th or 18th this season. Brentford are 16th on xG. Arsenal are 4th. It’s not even about 1:1 positions, it’s just not close.

Yes, in soccer, I actually would trade occasional incorrect calls for no VAR. This is how we all watched and experienced the sport roughly a handful of years ago. We all lived, and some of us enjoyed it even more back then. Why? Because the spontaneity is soccer’s magic.
