Congratulations to the @Castelion team on their $105M contract with the U.S. Navy to integrate Blackbeard onto the F/A-18 Super Hornet! Blackbeard will be the Navy's primary air-launched hypersonic strike weapon. Under this award, Castelion will “conduct extensive system safety and certification testing, flight testing, and other integration activities related to carrier-based operations” to work towards the integration, with aims to transition the system to an Early Operational Capability in 2027.
