Since 2022 General Sultan Makenga has been target number 1 in Kinshasa. They have tried to get him several times and they have failed. This Tuesday they tried to kill a lot of AFC/M23 soldiers as a result Lt. Colonel Willy Ngoma died General Sultan Makenga however he was in unknown location as it should always be. He is fine. And he will lead the new operation to remind Kinshasa why AFC/M23 chose to take weapons and fight for their rights. Just be patient….the count begins.

M23 defeated the SADC troops, so it is easy to say these soldiers will also be defeated. Why? 1️⃣ On Sept 29–30, 1990, Presidents Habyarimana (Rwanda) and Museveni (Uganda) were in New York for a UN Children’s Summit. With both away, communication lines were slow — no quick orders to block an attack. 2️⃣ It was just before October 9, Uganda’s Independence Day, when most soldiers would be needed at parade grounds far from the Rwandan border. Maj. Gen. Fred Rwigema, then Deputy Commander of the Ugandan Army, seized the moment. Soldiers of Rwandan origin regrouped “under the cover” of Independence Day rehearsals, making their movements look normal! Trucks carrying about 2,000 RPA soldiers and weapons rolled south to Ankole near Kagitumba. By 4:00 a.m., Oct 1, they crossed into Rwanda and swiftly captured the border zone. That moment lit the flame of a four-year struggle — ending on July 4, 1994, when the genocide against Tutsi was stopped and Rwanda 🇷🇼 began a new chapter of rebirth. Dans l’histoire contemporaine du Rwanda, peu de chapitres illustrent aussi puissamment le sens du sacrifice et du patriotisme que celui des réfugiés rwandais en Ouganda, artisans de la création du Front Patriotique Rwandais (FPR). Ces hommes, exilés depuis des décennies, avaient trouvé refuge et stabilité en Ouganda, certains occupant des postes prestigieux au sein de l’appareil militaire du pays. Pourtant, mus par un amour indéfectible pour leur patrie d’origine, ils ont tout abandonné — privilèges, sécurité, carrières — pour mener une guerre de libération, au péril de leur vie. Fred Rwigema, figure emblématique de ce mouvement, incarne ce dévouement absolu. Vice-ministre de la Défense en Ouganda, héros de la lutte contre les régimes d’Idi Amin et Milton Obote, il jouissait d’un statut enviable. Mais son cœur battait pour le Rwanda. En 1990, il prit la tête de l’offensive du FPR, une mission qu’il ne verra pas aboutir, tombant au champ d’honneur dès les premiers jours. Son sacrifice suprême reste gravé dans la mémoire collective comme le symbole d’un patriotisme sans compromis. À ses côtés, d’autres officiers rwandais de la National Resistance Army (NRA) ont suivi le même chemin. Paul Kagame, alors officier du renseignement militaire formé aux États-Unis, Peter Bayingana, médecin militaire, Chris Bunyenyezi, tacticien reconnu, et Kayitare, tous ont quitté leurs fonctions au sein de l’armée ougandaise pour se consacrer à la libération du Rwanda. Leur décision n’était ni stratégique ni opportuniste : elle était profondément morale et identitaire. Mais le patriotisme rwandais ne s’est pas limité aux frontières de l’Ouganda. Des réfugiés venus du Burundi, de la Tanzanie, de la République Démocratique du Congo, ainsi que des pays européens, des États-Unis et du Canada ont eux aussi répondu à l’appel du FPR. Qu’ils soient étudiants, professionnels ou militants, ces hommes et femmes ont abandonné leurs vies confortables, leurs carrières prometteuses et leurs familles pour rejoindre le front. Leur engagement transcende les continents et témoigne d’un attachement viscéral à la terre rwandaise, à son peuple et à son avenir. Ensemble, ils ont formé une armée de conviction, unie par le rêve d’un Rwanda libre et réconcilié. Leur parcours rappelle que le patriotisme ne se mesure pas à la proximité géographique, mais à la profondeur de l’attachement à une cause juste. Ces réfugiés ont prouvé que l’exil n’efface ni la mémoire ni la responsabilité envers son peuple. Leur héritage est celui d’une génération qui a refusé de se résigner, qui a choisi l’action, et qui a payé le prix fort pour que le Rwanda puisse se relever.
