Honored to address the @UN General Assembly today, reaffirming our shared commitment to #ZeroWaste Initiative under the esteemed leadership of the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, especially on the occasion of the #InternationalDayOfZeroWaste. With global waste generation projected to rise from 2.01 billion tons in 2016 to a staggering 3.4 billion tons by 2050, the urgency for change has never been greater. We must move beyond viewing waste as a burden and instead see it as a resource - one that can drive economic growth, create jobs, and protect our environment. Shifting toward a #CircularEconomy requires action across four key pillars: strong legislation with incentives, strategic partnerships, education, and public awareness.
