Museveni: Some countries, like the United States, are operating in four dimensions: land, air, sea & space. As we are speaking now, one of the satellites of the USA is going around the moon. For us, we are here in Kyankwanzi eating macaroni. This is very dangerous. @ChimpReports

NATIONAL ANIMAL GENETIC RESOURCES CENTRE &DATABANK
This week marked the conclusion of a tour of government farms and ranches by the Board of Directors of @NAGRC_DB. The exercise provided an opportunity for the Board to assess ongoing operations, infrastructure development, and service delivery across the Centre’s establishments. The visits enabled direct engagement with farm  managers and technical teams on the ground, offering valuable insights into progress made in livestock breeding, genetic improvement, and farm management systems. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional performance, enhancing productivity, and ensuring that @NAGRC_DB continues to deliver on its mandate of availing improved animal genetic resources for national development. @FrankTumwebazek @DrRwamiramaBK @PS_MAAIF @AnyamaBen1 @beinepeter @SheilaMwine

𝐍𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 In 1926, a retired British naval officer, Commander Ernest Ebohard Calwell founded the mighty school. Mr Calwell was a teacher at King's College Budo before he fell out with the then Headmaster there. Two students from Tooro kingdom at Budo at that time by the names of Komwiswa and Byara convinced Mr Calwell to come and ask the Omukama of Tooro for land to setup a school like Budo in Tooro. In his request, he said to the Omukama this, "𝑮𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒇𝒔". The then Ikingura Omukama Daudi Kasagama Kyebambe IV gave the Commander 3 hills to chose from. The first location of the School was at the present day Kabarole Primary school and shared a fence with Kyebambe Girl's School. Seeing that the school lacked enough space for expansion, the commander chose to shift the school to the northern division of Fortportal, Burahya county to its present day location. Nyakasura School draws its name from R. Nyakasura, a salty stream that flows gently in the school land.

Nze, there’s a guy who hurt me so badly in 2023. We were supposed to go to Kigali together because I wanted him to meet my sisters. Three days before departure, he started ghosting me. He even relocated to some unknown place. I looked for him, hoping something was wrong, only to find him at his mother’s shop in town just chilling. I went to Kigali alone. After a few weeks, we broke up, and the main reason was that in his family, they’re not allowed to date Rwandans or associate with them in any way. Up to now before I go to bed, I take 10 seconds to first fear men.

Uganda has everything it needs to become Africa’s food basket, so what’s holding it back? If you’ve ever tasted Ugandan fruits, you already know. Fresh, organic, bursting with flavour. From region to region, the country produces food in incredible abundance. The real gap? Investment in food technology, better processing, preservation, and smarter land use. Because growing the food is only half the story. Turning it into lasting value is where the opportunity lies. #ExploreUganda #FoodSystems

Day 2: We kicked off the day with a visit to Semuliki National Park, located in Bundibugyo along the Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo border. It’s one of Africa’s richest areas in floral and faunal biodiversity, home to an incredible variety of birds and butterflies.

I joined the Makindye Division community-led Weyonje clean-up this morning across Pantalewo, Buyinja, Bukiligi, and Kataba zones in Kabalagala Parish Makindye division. Focus remains on mindset change toward proper sanitation practices, large-scale waste evacuation, and timely toilet emptying. Local leaders were urged to sustain community sensitization and stand firm against poor sanitation practices, which directly impact residents’ health and wellbeing. Together, we can build a cleaner city free from sanitation-related diseases. @KCCAUG

Okay guys, let me tell you about this guy I was in a talking stage with some time back. One day I went to visit him at his place as he had requested. While We were there just chilling and talking, I started getting really hungry. And he wasn’t offering anything, so I told him straight up, “I’m hungry.” He asked what I wanted to eat, and I said Matooke with goat meat. He goes, “That food will cost you 15k at the nearby restaurant.” I said fine, no problem. So he went to the kitchen, grabbed a lunch box to go pack it, came back, and then asked me for the 15k. At that moment my brain did a 360, I was like, wait what? I came to visit YOU, and you can’t even buy me food?!!!😳 But anyway, I gave him the 15k, he went and brought the food, and I ate. After lunch, it was time for me to head back to work. I asked him to drop me since he had a car. He checked his Uber app, did a few calculations and said, “Just give me 20k and I’ll drop you. An Uber would otherwise cost you 30k, but I’ve reduced it for you.” Guys… that was the last time he ever saw me. I just told him, “No, never mind, I’ll take the Uber myself.” And that was it! 😂

A return visit to Sochoi Dairies in Nandi County. I am blown away by the strides made since my last visit. From a heard of slightly over 100, to a current heard of over 200. From a milkers population of around 50 , to a current milkers population of over 100 cows. From a production of around 1000L of mik per day to a production rate of around 2500L of milk currently. Hard-work resilience & passion pay off. 👏🏽👏🏽 Congratulations to Sochoi dairies fraternity for the strides made , Ukulima ni fun indeed. 👏👏. #AgribusinessTalk254
