Today calls for a very special #FeatureFriday at #SPPAC2023 ⭐️ The Center Director, Dr. Larry Mullins, is this years recipient of the Dennis Drotar Distinguished Research Award in Pediatric Psychology.  This award is named after the late Dr. Dennis Drotar, who helped establish the field of pediatric psychology and was an active or distant mentor to more than half of the field. This award recognizes excellence and significant contributions in establishing the scientific base of pediatric psychology. We may be biased, but we cannot imagine anyone more deserving than Dr. Mullins.  Congratulations on this honor, Dr. Mullins! 🏅♥️

#SickleCell isn't some punchline to put in an @hbomax show. We are discriminated against in healthcare, which causes further harm to our physical & mental. Ignorant jokes like this make it that much harder for systemic changes to occur for better treatment of sickle cell patients

Jaw dropping data presented by Dr Asare showing that 10 percent of pregnant women with #SickleCellDisease in Ghana die during pregnancy but with a multidisciplinary care approach, this goes down by more than 90 %. Incredible work , more to be done #ASH2022
