This mom with glasses sits in the driver seat of her car looking straight into the camera while pouring out years of built up frustration about motherhood. She lists every daily task from pets to dinners to groceries and dishes as her eyes widen and voice rises with raw emotion. This unfiltered car rant about never getting a real break on Mother’s Day hits hard after twenty years of doing it all. You wonder if moms speaking up this openly about the mental load creates real change or just adds more guilt to an already impossible job. Would you tell your partner exactly what you need on Mother’s Day or keep pushing through quietly?

@bioenergeticmel I gained so much with each pregnancy no matter how hard I tried. My kids are totally worth it, you can lose the weight later.

My biggest fear is gaining too much weight when I’m pregnant I constantly see women saying they exercised multiple days a week and ate healthy and still gained 50+ lbs and it terrifies me Maybe that’s just vanity idk

18 years with my husband and I have never once asked him to send me his location. We also don't have the tracking on our phones. I feel like the oddball. If he's not with me or at work, he tells me where he's going and about when he'll be heading home. 🤷‍♀️

@mrsdobbins_ So many classics have a lot of action, Treasure Island, The Three Musketeers, Peter Pan, etc. If your little guys won't hold still and listen that is totally normal. Try audiobooks in the car. We use libravox, they are free.

I need homeschooling moms with boys to chime in here. What are we doing for read aloud that is engaging for little guys? I grew up in a house of only girls and have a daughter, so I have plenty of ideas for that but now I also need stories centered around brave men, adventure, etc.

I almost posted something identical yesterday. I went down the soda aisle and in that moment just decided I couldn’t afford Diet Coke anymore. And it’s not that I don’t have $9, but the cost vs value just doesn’t math anymore. Grocery prices are a full blown crisis at this point, and I’d really like to see some congressional action on price gouging. Because starving people living in the same country where grocery conglomerates are posting record profits is not a sustainable model. The greed has gone too far. Time to rein it in.

it is not normal for a mother to throw a tantrum and fling their child off of them even in my most sleep deprived, frustrated moments i couldn’t fathom to scream and thrash my fists in front of my child. there’s been nothing that even comes close to warranting that.
