@NUFCTalkRadio Summer coming on
So pleased that at Sunderland the strategy and framework has always been to go find our type of players without paying over the top prices.
15 very good signings came in 25/26
so pleased we now have Ghisolfi @SAFC_NYorkshire @smudger19safc @marco_ten @eb92safc

According to iNews’ Mark Douglas -
Newcastle are looking to sign 4 first team starters this summer.
A goalkeeper, striker, right-back and midfielder are seen as the priority positions for the club.
The report goes on to say 2 of Tonali, Bruno, Tino and Gordon will likely leave this summer.
With European qualification unlikely and another trip to the Champions League out of reach, the recruiting strategy of the Magpies will be influenced by financial considerations and constraints. #NUFC
Busy window for the club ⚫⚪

Found a wallet tucked in a Walmart shopping cart today. Inside: $650 cash—no cards, just a driver's license with an address 25 minutes away. Something told me not to just turn it in... so I drove over.
Pulled into a quiet, weathered trailer park. Knocked on the door. An elderly woman opened it, face already tired and worried.
"Ma'am... did you lose this?" I asked, holding it out.
Her hands flew to her mouth. A sharp gasp. She took it, opened it, saw the money untouched. Tears spilled immediately. She pulled me into the tightest hug I've felt in years.
"This is my lot rent," she whispered, voice breaking. "I pulled it out in cash because I don't have a bank. They were coming for eviction tomorrow—I thought I was losing my home."
She tried pressing $50 into my palm. "Please, take something..."
I smiled and gently closed her hand. "No ma'am, I couldn't. But if it's okay... mind if I sit for a quick cup of coffee? Long drive back."
We sat at her small Formica table. She poured instant coffee into mismatched mugs. Told me about her grandkids—one just learned to ride a bike without training wheels, another sends her drawings every Sunday. She laughed through sniffles, the fear finally easing from her eyes.
Left with a warm mug in hand and a fuller heart.
In a world that loves to spotlight the ugly... sometimes the quiet, decent thing changes everything. One honest drive, one cup of coffee, and an old woman gets to keep her home a little longer.
Honesty isn't always loud. Sometimes it's just showing up when it matters most.

Imagine you’re Pep Guardiola and next season you have to choose between:
One of the best CB’s to ever play the game in Ruben Dias. A winner, a captain, a legend.
The current best CB in the Premier League, Guehi, England’s number 1, future captain.
The best all round CB in the world, Gvardiol, City’s best player last season. A unicorn, a monster of a player.
The best young CB in the world, Khusanov. There really aren’t enough ways to praise him, his speed, talent and tenacity.
To add to all of that, a future star in Vitor Reis, tearing it up in La Liga.
The future is bright ⭐️

It needs to be the Europa League. If it isnt then i am confident we will never win a trophy under Unai Emery, which will be a shame and definitely define his tenure over the numerous great memories we have had.
But my concern lies with the squad, if we cannot pick off a deflated, weak Newcastle side at home - how can i expect the team to not crack under pressure when we face even more menacing, agressive sides like PAOK, Lyon, Braga & Ferencvaros? #AVFC

English

@avfc_stef @DavidHarnett1 Well, it wasn't 😅. Luiz should also have got a second yellow after kicking off. That's 3 players off. A clear penalty (or 3) ignored. How much did yous pay the ref?!
English

@LukeEdwardsTele And Newcastles first goal was offside.
English

I’ve seen some bad referee displays in my time but Chris Kavanagh and his assistants are having a shocker. Villa’s goal offside, Lewis Hall should have been awarded a penalty and Digne should have been sent off before Bizot for a really horrible tackle on Jacob Murphy #nufc
English

@MagpieMediaX He was poor first half. Created nothing, lost the ball a lot, awful defensively. And I love him, but he was far from unbelievable.
English

Aston Villa haven’t been able to get near Nick Woltemade all night. He’s been superb in that No.10 position, an absolute joy to watch. #NUFC
English

@Josh44869179760 @NUFC7890 I love him. But he was literally our worst player tonight.
English

@VillaLeeAV Jesus. It was utterly level until the offside goal. Villa were not better. You started with 12 players as well.
English

What a mad, mad game that was 🤯
Honest review -
11 v 11 Newcastle offered nothing to be fair, Villa were the better team.
Tammy was offside. ⚽️
Digne should have had a red for the challenge on Murphy (was high & dangerous). ❌
2 possible pens for Newcastle in 1st half but the 1st one wasn’t for me as Onana won the ball. 👀
2nd one possibly a pen but I’m not 100%.
Digne with the handball - No words for that one! What the lino was doing in this game is beyond me 🤯 Shocker of a performance! 😬
Bizot, Bizot, Bizot what were you thinking pal, moment of madness, was a red card I’m afraid, can’t be doing that fella! 🤦🏻♂️
From that point the game changed for us. We had some minor moments but it swung in Newcastles favour in the end. Tonali not scored for ages and hits 2 bangers (one deflection) has he been watching us train 🤣
Anyway, for Villa it’s less games now and we are still 3rd with a good points gap, still going well in the UEL.
McGinn & Tielemans are another week closer to returning 🤩
Tammy is looking good up top 👍🏼
All the best to Newcastle ⚪️🌑
Stay positive Villans we have a lot still to play for 🟣🔵 #AVFC #NUFC #UTV

@SwedishRumble You had the highest wage bill in 22-23 😂. This is the first season you've been out of the top 4 in wages.

🚨This is why I think Neville has hurt the club more as a pundit than he did good as a player. 📉
He is surprised United spent so much money in the summer and signed 3 players? App. £200m.
🔺We finished 15th, and moved out the following players in the summer:
-Rasmus Højlund (our only out and out striker)
-Marcus Rashford
-Alejandro Garnacho
-Antony
-André Onana
-Victor Lindelof
-Christian Eriksen
-Jonny Evans
-Jadon Sancho
Nine players.
Neville supposedly think it would have been fine if our owners bought 1-2 new players.
🔺United has wasted so much money? Who told him that — Avram Glazer?
Two indisputable facts are that United shouldn’t have finished higher than 3rd eve once since Fergie left if we had invested our money as well as our rivals:
-Our player wage bill hasn’t been higher than 4th in the PL since 2017 — MILES behind the top.
-Our average transfer spend on a rolling 10 year basis hasn’t been close to being higher than 3rd once since Fergie left.
And this is of course obvious to everyone if you just look at the squads and transfer activity of each club.
🔺All other owners of clubs in the Premier League and the Championship have invested money in their club net. United’s owners have robbed the club for way over a billion.
How on earth can’t his reaction be like ‘it is time the owners gave something back to the fans. If the club does well and is profitable — fine, it’s the owners right to take out some money of it. But when it needs investments — the same owners must be prepared to support it’?
He is so entrenched with the BS he has spoken on TV year after year that he can’t see the most obvious stuff.
🔺Ineos promise is to win a title in the season that starts in 18 months. All our rivals spent more than us in the summer.

🗣️ "Amorim is now starting to unleash a little bit" Gary Neville believes Ruben Amorim's post-match comments suggest he is not happy with the hierarchy at the club.

@lukewilson1802 @joelixton De zerbi can fuck off. Worse manager and greenwood apologist.
English

@joelixton De zerbi, conte, klopp to name a few. Never accept going backwards
English

@joelixton It’s virtually impossible for him to get sacked our sporting director is his best mate
English

@TomHayes1980 @joelixton I guarantee no-one who's commenting has seen these managers regularly 😂
English

@joelixton Mancini glasner iriola conceicao allegri fabregas all those are an upgrade on Howe and have more than one tactic
English

@CoachMeron Tino is a very good player, but when compared to the best right backs in the league, he’s nowhere near (Munoz, Timber, James etc)
English

This is a bit strong but I've been annoyed with Livramento in those advanced positions recently.
Defensively & build up he's very good.
But...2 goals & 3 assists in in his ENTIRE senior career in the Premier League isn't good enough.
O'Reilly has 3 goals & 3 assists in just 24 PL games for context #NUFC
Sam@NUFC7890
Livramento - Let’s fleece city while we can, pep will want a walker who has recovery pace and isn’t any good going forward He is absolutely shocking over the halfway line, only fullback in the league that can’t pass or cross a ball.
English

@thegingerheed @SkySports_Keith Nobody dominated. It was an awful game. Both teams could be playing now and neither would have scored without own goals...
English

@SkySports_Keith That about covers it. Just a comfortable professional performance. Dominated the 1st half and sent Elanga and Gordon home with tail between legs. Xhaka and Sadiki had the midfield wrapped up. Got the goal, then sat back, soaked up a bit of pressure and went home happy.
English

👊🏼 Newcastle were bullied by Sunderland today, who wanted the win more. It wasn’t a hammering, but it was a win built on will-to-win & physicality.
⚽️ ❌ In truth, Newcastle could’ve played all night and not scored.
Newcastle without Joelinton, Trippier, Pope, Botman, Burn (second half) & Tonali (last 30) are a team lacking leadership — and it showed toward the end of that match with Bruno Guimarães the one ‘leader’ left out there.
👏🏼 Credit to Sunderland, they’ve built a team that will stand up to the rigours of the Premier League — their identity is clear.
🙅🏽♂️ I’ve said it before, not many teams will win at The Stadium of Light this season.
#NUFC #SAFC
English

@SCAandC @CaptainSensibl8 @SkySports_Keith Would that be the very clear penalty? 🤣 Should have been 4 or 5 to 0, but we fucked up. Kick in the balls but we move on.
English

@CaptainSensibl8 @SkySports_Keith The cartel team? Did you see the penalty you got you fucking deformed moron?
English

A shocker of a late goal to concede costs Newcastle a big three points!
They’d worked so hard to give themselves the lead in the second half — TWICE! — but seemed intent on throwing it away.
The defenders & goalkeeper will look back on that Romero 95th minute equaliser and know they threw it away…
