I have lost over 8 of my relatives for the last night attack at #HayatHotel in #Mogadishu… May almighty have mercy on all of them and I pray for the quickest recovery to the injured ones… so sad some of the deceased just returned from overseas to visit relatives.

The Moon is Sighted!🌙
Isn’t this the time to put desires, temptations and physical needs aside? To concentrate on the development of the soul? To nourish spirituality by reconnecting with the kalam of Allah, increasing in goodness, cultivating kindness, and forsaking evil? In welcoming the blessed month of Ramadhaan, Maulana Bham challenges us to eradicate one bad habit from our lives.

We are Somalis and in our DNA, you will not find something call fear. In history Somalis never run from their enemies.

Those days we had few traitors in Somalia that is Why the US could not succeed their mission but currently we are ruled by traitors. The entire Somali military is funded by foreign nations.
To understand what I am saying, look at Somali parliaments, 80% have dual citizenship, majority from the US and UK.
In general no foreign nation can concur Somalia if we stop allowing traitors to occupy in our public offices.
currently, the highest office in Somalia run by president who was funded his entire campaign by emirates.

In 1993, 🇺🇸 the United States tried to play global police in Somalia, just like it later did with Maduro, using the same elite Delta Force! But the Somalis weren’t an easy target… the result? 🔻 18 Delta soldiers killed including two of the top U.S. snipers 🔻 70 wounded 🔻 Two helicopters downed 🔻 And their bodies dragged through the streets of Mogadishu in one of America’s biggest military humiliations of the 20th century. Since that day… they’ve never returned to Somalia.

Alert #Somalia
Israelis are now illegally entering into Somalia from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 by land and through the Wajaale village border as seen in these pics ⬇️
The reason is no one can fly into Somalia by air including the separatist occupied Hargeisa without first obtaining the federal 🇸🇴 e-visa in advance which the Israelis know will never get. Somalia should now close this border crossing indefinitely as it has become a magnet for all the criminals dodging to fly and obtain legal visas.

In 2018 & 2018 I used to campaign for #Hormoud & I am proud to say that hormoud has many success stories but sorry to say this, blocking account from the Somalis abroad who send $ to their loved ones back home is immoral.

The co-owner of South Africa’s biggest shopping centre has gone into business rescue.
I have been writing a lot recently about the revival of Fourways Mall (which has been pretty impressive since the new centre managers took over in February 2024)
So let’s unpack what this actually means…
Azrapart owns 50% of Fourways Mall while Accelerate Property Fund owns the remaining 50%. Flanagan & Gerard, along with Moolman Group, are the property managers of the mall.
Michael Georgiou is the sole director of Azrapart. He was formerly the CEO and non-executive director of Accelerate Property Fund.
Investec and RMB took Azrapart to court because the company owed them R2.3 billion. The Free State High Court placed Azrapart into business rescue because the company could not pay back this debt.
Before the judgement, Azrapart said that it was close to finalising a deal with UK-based Redcore Hospitality to cover the R2.6 billion debt. No proof of the funds ever materialised.
There was also a UK law firm that revealed that Redcore had zero employees and zero turnover in 2023. This exercise of back and forth with no money in the end, delayed the entire process for 9 months. The court then ruled in favour of business rescue under the Companies Act.
Here comes the irony. Fourways Mall has experienced some significant changes over the past few months. Foot traffic is up, and vacancies have decreased. Renovations worth millions have repaired the roof, installed solar panels, new lighting, and other improved systems, such as efficient parking layouts. The overall vacancy rate of the mall is still high but continues to improve.
They reduced vacancies from approximately 24% to 13%. They’ve leased over 20 000m2 of new space and completed over 50 000m2 in renewals.
I chatted with John Holley, who is the Financial Director of Flanagan & Gerard. He says it’s a positive step in the continued revival of Fourways Mall. He went on to say:
“There is no change in any way in the operations or the continued development and improvement of Fourways Mall. The mall is governed by an exco agreement between Azrapart, Accelerate and the funding banks. Although Azrapart is in business rescue, the banks being the majority creditor and APF, the other shareholder, continue to support the stabilisation of the mall and even put in more Capex as required, as the mall continues to go from strength to strength.”
