Pffff. Arteta was getting the better of Maresca with 11v11. Some of the build-up ideas were INCREDIBLE to exploit Maresca's man-to-man press, and they worked. Now, with 11v10, we have to see how Maresca adapts tactically, especially without Caicedo. Huge test for him/Chelsea.

I’ll put my hand up, thought he was done, was ready to move on. Dude has been awesome when he’s paired with anyone but Uncle. Keep it rolling.

Honestly despite massively disagreeing with Maresca’s 1st half subs I actually think those 2nd half subs are good, I wanted a change to a 2-1-5-1 in possession & we’ve looked really good in these last 5 minutes with it, but he needed someone good between the lines (Pedro) With that you need someone else upfront so it had to be George or Guiu, if Garnacho or Gittens comes on then how would it look out of possession if Pedro is ahead of the midfield? It’d be a 4-3-1-1 but with Garnacho either in midfield or on the wing where the double pivot would get overwhelmed with no right winger to tuck in

In hindsight, what a dramatic season. Maresca got top 4 and won not 1 but 2 trophies. Jackson is done and in less than a month Joao Pedro & Delap cemented their roles as the main options to lead the attack. 1 more LB, LW & CDM(squad player) and we are good to go for next year!

I support Maresca. Any Coach with this squad & this board would struggle. This season is over. We will be lucky to get top 4 by the end of it but before that lets just hope this stops at 3-0. #BHACHE

@EBL2017 Add to that how Nkunku is absolutely useless in pressing and you find Arsenal always having the advantage.

Chelsea are essentially man-marking within a mid-block at the moment because of the constant 2v1 on the side. Not to mention how Ødegaard's dropping movements from high to low or Raya consistently add an extra number on top of that. They are being dragged all over the place..

A game within a game, this. When Cucurella jumps to press Timber, Chelsea are man-to-man. When he stays in the defensive line, Nkunku is left 2v1 against Saliba and Timber. Arsenal are dominating the ball because of this - hard to reliably release the fullback vs a fluid team.

@ChelseaFC Is there anything Nkuku is good at? Bad at pressing. Doesnt score. Bad at defending. Cant dribble. Absolutely useless. This goal is also a result of his slack.
