Corporations should not be able to make billions in profit when 3.7 million households battle with where their next meal is coming from. For some that’s a controversial statement. It’s the bare minimum of a functioning society.

The wealth of the richest 200 people in Australia is now equivalent to nearly 25% of national GDP. No one should be able to hoard a quarter of our country’s GDP when 761,000 children live in poverty. That’s utterly wrong.

Higher degree by research students in Australia work full-time hours but receive $11.7k below the minimum wage. The Universities Accord recommended that the higher degree by research stipend should be increased to support junior researchers, we are campaigning for that to happen!
