Siri has gotten so remarkably stupid that my HomePod devices can no longer reliably perform HomeKit actions; literally the simplest, most basic requirements for a smart speaker. If I didn’t care so much about local control, I’d leave for Google or Alexa so fast.

@mellisreviews Deliberate. Whenever you hear an exec talk about Siri they talk in terms of it being a background activity for AI/ML tools doing multiple different things. Siri is just the banner to describe the interface into the tools. See Siri suggestions in spotlight etc as an example.

Can you remember the last time Siri got a meaningful mention during WWDC? I can’t.
