I love my mother. But literally every single time my stepdad went to the gym she would get upset. She would lose her mind talking about how he would rather be at Judo, or out on the ranch, and be anywhere else BUT with her. There was a point that him going and doing anything alone was a serious issue with her and they almost got divorced over it. Thankfully she got over it but all of this advice is almost entirely incongruent with anything any man has seen in the past 30 years.

EVs are not ideal for long-distance trips or for people living in rural areas where public charging stations are not readily available. They’re city dweller golf carts.
But EVs are admittedly becoming more marketable, especially with the volatile fluctuations in oil (and by extension gasoline) prices.
Still, the upfront cost of installation of a home chargers is a lot, and it’s not guaranteed to pay itself off with the fuel savings should the battery go bad. The time it takes to charge an EV is also a bit longer than the time it takes to top off an ICE with gas.
There are pros and cons.
Ultimately, the consumer should be able to choose what he or she wants.
