@kitty3542 Ventileren over hoge parkeerkosten, of slecht weer? Logisch.

@HikariTaiyo_ch Watching my girlfriend march past everything playing Skyrim because she "had a mission" and killing a dragon at like lvl 1 was a humbling experience. I can't do that. I was in awe.

@RobinPoedev I dont want to reignite the console/PC shit, but this is what happens if you pretend console gamers are actual gamers. You get these fake mobile game commercials games.

@lisavsworld "Literal meaning of words" do you say you watch a movie? Or do you day you watch, listen to and read a movie? If you had soup do you say you ate or drank. Words dont have literal meanings.

@TheStalwart @amar_reganti @tracyalloway People miss the asymmetric nature of this war - it can take a decade to build what’s destroyed in 6-8 weeks - probably because they have the swift post Covid recovery in mind. But what they forget is that there was no infrastructure loss in 2020. This time is truly different.

@ripplebrain Gulf states are going to contract international engineering companies to do their work, those will take 5 years but use way less ductape.

This is a valid argument for assisted dying. But you know how nowadays you lightly bump your car and your insurer immediately declares it a write off because they can't be bothered to even investigate a repair? Yeah

My grandad had bowel + prostate cancer - he was so unwell, in agonising pain every day, being fed medication to knock him out 24/7. He begged us to kill him, every day said he couldn’t wait to die. I know he would have loved to have the option to go peacefully on his terms 😅

They did exactly what they should have. Many uninformed takes claimed the U.S. would just roll over NATO, when in fact they have a larger land army than the U.S. and specialize in Arctic warfare. It is appalling and shameful we put them through this.

1/ Denmark was reportedly preparing for full-scale war with the US over Greenland in January, with military support from France, Germany, and Nordic nations. Elite troops and F-35 jets with live ammunition were sent, and runways were to be blown up to prevent an invasion. ⬇️

@WarMonitor3 The US military has occupied Greenland since the 40s. Denmark sent a few dozen soldiers? Why didn’t they attack the US base on the island?

Denmark had seriously prepared for a possible US attack on Greenland earlier this year, troops that were sent under the guise of exercise were equipped with explosives and prepared to blow key runways and bridges-DR Wow...

@TheMindScourge Firstly, the gulf states have nothing except oil and gas, they hardly have a population of their own. Secondly, how do you mean can only be used once? You think the gulf states will just stop using the gulf afte this?

Hormuz is a weapon that can only be fired once No one should expect a quick resolution to the current crisis, but across the next decade, even the next 3-5 years, the choke point of Hormuz will be massively substituted for The Gulf Arab states are all very rich, with high per capita GDP - the best single measure of relative state capacity - easy access to global markets, especially financial, and have the favorable backing of the US Everyone has known about the Hormuz vulnerability for decades. The Iranians have continually hinted around closing it, but never did. Now they have, but Hormuz is a gun that cannot be reloaded. Deterrents work only up to the point of use. Once used, they have failed. The purpose of a deterrent is to *not* be used Many analysts have made this basic mistake. They think that Iran is now in a position of strength, having exercised its Hormuz option. But the opposite is true. A state is weakest after it has used its deterrent. The cost of that deterrence is now priced in. The worst having been done, the targets of the deterrent are now free to make other arrangements. Before, they were reluctant to do so because of the switching costs. Now, they have no choice; they will not allow themselves to be controlled in this way again Hormuz may never reopen. But the importance of this is a depreciating asset.

I’ve had this post pinned to my profile since early November 2024 because of what it represented to me: my daughter’s first time exercising her right to vote. My belief, despite having doubts, in the democratic process. My belief in a movement and person I felt would fight for real change. I recently unpinned it given what I am experiencing … feelings of betrayal, confusion, anger, gullibility. And instead of fellow patriots understanding these very real feelings MANY are experiencing, we are met with insults (doomer, panican, libtard) completely unwarranted and childish AF. I’ll say it again, it takes a helluva lot more courage to go against the grain than to be a simp for it. RIP to the America I longed for and tried to believe in. 😢

My girl just voted for the first time! Question: she had to turn her shirt inside out as we were told it was illegal to wear a political shirt to vote. Is that true????
