Over the last few years things have been more difficult for me. I've had 1 surgery and probably getting ready to have another one soon. This and many other things have taught me about the preciousness of time. For that reason I'm making a few changes.
1. Reducing posts significantly by extracting most of the politics out of the dialogue. Relevant things going on in the world will be discussed in my the Monday show as I'll still be bookmarking what I find throughout the week.
2. Shrinking my sphere of influence and putting most things as subscriber only.
3. And most importantly. I'm going to focus on my health.
Going to try this out for a bit and see how it goes. Hopefully it increases the quality of your experience and mine.

Boca Raton Republicans just lost their mayor seat for the first time in 30+ years.
Won by a Democrat with under 40% of the vote.
How?
Two Republicans:
• Establishment insider (Vice Mayor)
• Outsider businessman
Neither would drop out.
Combined Republican vote: 11,534 (60%)
Winning Democrat: 7,572 (39%)
Margin of victory: 1 vote.
Ego > party.

On Monday, I will resign from my job as an IT executive.
I’ve led a large team for several years. Soon after arriving, I realized the role was not what I expected and the environment was unhealthy.
Instead of leaving, I chose to view the situation as a challenge.
Over time, I shifted from trying to improve the situation to focusing on supporting my employees as best I could, often at my own expense.
Last week, however, I found myself unable to protect them any longer.
That moment came when I had to lay off an employee and friend of 25 years, with no involvement in the decision. I lost any sense of purpose.
So on Monday, I will walk in and resign.
I expect that over the next several months, many more will follow, though I realize the company may not care unless it impacts the bottom line.
But my wife and family, my purpose, will care.

My friend @TeslaLarry spent about 90 minutes laying out the structural crisis inside American healthcare. And the conclusion is straightforward. We can keep going the way we are. Toward a $5 trillion healthcare system. Declining life expectancy. More medical bankruptcies. More uninsured Americans. And layer after layer of government intervention trying to manage the consequences. Or we can change the system. Not with slogans. With structural reform. Larry’s point is simple: the United States can deliver better outcomes, cover more people, and spend trillions less doing so. But that requires action. And that conversation is starting now.
