@ArturoInti @DailyLoud I wonder why in non of the „VAXX“ posts people talk about the COVID itself. I was vaxxed and fine and then I got Covid and since then I struggle (long covid). I wonder if it would have been different without the shots, but it’s very clear to me that the main Problem is Covid…

@paulg Wouldn’t weapon company sales and gun shot mortality correlate in a similar way?

My key learning in venture: things take longer than you think, but can get bigger than you can imagine. Consequence: the standard 10 years duration is too short for venture funds.

@ZUrlocker Looking from Europe to America it still seems so surprising that >70m Americans seemed like they didn't have a problem with a president that cant speak full sentences ..

It’s such a relief to hear from someone who is not a raging narcissist. He even speaks in coherent sentences.

@pawell How about human honesty? By the way - it think you are quite good at being human and honest at the same time, not letting us down in the tough times but also being honest about the situation we are in ... thanks for that

Combining "humanity" and "brutal honesty" is the tough part, at least for me + you can be proven wrong by the entrepreneur and your brutal honesty ends up being BS ;) Any input (maybe from the entrepreneurs here) on how to achieve the above in a productive way is welcome
Mattias Ljungman@Ljungman

Every start up has its near death experience. It’s the least glamorous but most important period. It’s the messy middle or the struggle. It’s the time when VCs need to show their humanity, support but also brutal honesty the founders deserve. It’s the time you can mark our worth

Great thread - VC is indeed tiny (about 0.5% of US GDP), but VC-backed companies punch well above this weight: about 1/3 of total employment; nearly 2/3 of US market capitalization and about 85% of total R&D spend.
