@chudcrusher @CommonEnemySSBM This is my main argument as well. You completely change the catching position and I would argue you change it for the worse. The other thing I think people like about ABS that would be lost with full robo is the fun that comes with challenging. It is a skill itself

@CommonEnemySSBM Easy. Pitch framing is sick and that’s a huge part of catcher strategy out the window if we go full robot

I was telling a friend who doesn't watch much baseball about how much I enjoyed the ABS system and he asked me "well, then why not just go full automated strike zone" and I really didn't have a super compelling answer beyond "the vibes would be off"

@selenaax_ But that doesn’t do anything except for shrink the zone by a 10th the size of a ball. If 9.9999999999999999% of the ball is in the zone it’s essentially the same thing as this example

yeah, it should be required that at least 10% of the ball is in the strike zone. I’m sorry this is just egregious.

@MrDelicious13 Good pitchers give up homers. The bigger issue tonight was using Murphy instead of newcomb or someone else. Dominguez needs to figure out lefties but I’m not worried after one outing

@HappySoxFan I would love that, I truly think he could be one of the greats to play for the White Sox in time. From what I’ve seen with how Robert was handled, I am a little worried but building a team around him and Montgomery should be number one priority. Really hoping he won’t be traded

I posted for over 100 days last year manifesting that Murakami would be a Yankee but now I truly believe the White Sox was the best team for him

@ZillaTK55 He certainly won’t. The southside is so ready to embrace him as we haven’t had anything to celebrate in so long. Really hope we can somehow make him fall in love and stay longer, but I’m not getting my hopes up

@HappySoxFan The vibes of the team and fanbase, you could go 0-162 but as long as everything is positive, I find that better than a winning record (player wise) If he was a Yankee, I just know the second he slumps, he would be booed relentlessly which I don’t think he will with the White Sox

I don’t want to come down too hard on venable because the last manager that was in charge of a young core and well liked in the clubhouse was Renteria. He made his fair share of odd decisions but firing him and going to TLR is what tanked that rebuild imo. Venable is fine for now
