I am Mohajir, and we are not Pakistanis. Stop labelling us as such. We are our own separate people, distinct from both Indians and Pakistanis. We have nothing in common with either of you and want nothing to do with you or your kind. We do have ethnic affiliations with Indian Muslims, especially from the Gangetic Plains, and there exists a distant, largely unrealised bond. However, that does not translate into a modern shared identity or present alignment. Pakistanis, in most cases, pose a greater threat to our existence and self-preservation than even a BJP voter or a Hindu extremist. At this point in time, they are our real and immediate enemy, not Indian Muslims. Indian Muslims, particularly from the Gangetic Plains, may claim our achievements if they wish, but Pashtuns from Pakhtunistan, Punjabis from Punjabistan, Sindhis from Sindhudesh, and Baloch from Balochistan should stay away from us. They have no claim over us and no place in defining who we are.
