Out of the 23, he has the 3rd fewest PAs. Despite that, he ranks:

18th in Walks
His production seems pretty good to me.

Literally the opposite. Anti socialist sentiment comes from a belief in free will; it’s the rational man who understands he must work for everything… that only he can think for himself. @JimBowdenGM As a phillies fan I understand they may be the worse team for player drafting and development in mlb history. Until they get a serious owner nothing will fix that

@MattDAlbertson @schwarbombz There is a problem with there drafting and development. Schlitter,McClean, Baldwin, both dodgers catchers were all available when the Phillies picked. Except for a few years in the 70s and early 2000s they are disaster

@schwarbombz Yes, they chose a kid from the state that can play year round against top tier competition over a kid from the northeast where baseball season is limited and the talent pool significantly lower. What were they thinking?

I mean this is just absolutely absurd for a 21 year old rookie. And the crazy thing is I fully expect his Avg Exit Velo and Hard Hit % to increase once the power starts kicking in more. We have a generational talent on our hands.

@ToddZolecki I understand writers need to keep relationships, but every question should be explain how Baldwin, McClean, Schlitter were all available when they drafted. Keep asking why they so bad at drafting and development

I think the first call has to be to see if Bruce Bochy is interested in one more season in the dugout, if the Giants will even let you talk to him. Dusty seems like the logical choice, but they probably need an outside hire

@DavidBrown_MLB He’s comparable to Steven Kwan, I think, who we do hear about all the time (including at last year’s trade deadline). He’s also my mom’s favorite player, which doesn’t show up on baseball-reference.

The fact that there are 168 replies and not one mention of Brandon Marsh makes me think he’s on the short list for this answer.
Over the last 365 days, Marsh has hit .302 with a .352 OBP, 14 HRs, 29 2Bs, is 9-for-9 in SB attempts and plays a Gold Glove-level defense in LF.

Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, and others on those 2007-2011 #Phillies teams that were part of just missing the playoffs in 2005 and 2006.
Had a bad week or two or team blew slight lead late in September.
They learned from failure.
It also proves how hard it is to make the playoffs and win championships.

I love the 07-11 core as much as the next guy that grew up with them. Those guys defined my childhood, but can we stop acting like they won a title every year they were together? If that core played in today’s age of social media y’all would’ve ridiculed them to no end.

Since the @Phillies Walk of Fame began in 1978 it honored greats from all Philly MLB clubs: the Phils and A’s. Now that the Stars and other Negro League teams are part of the MLB record these greats should also be eligible for the Wall of Fame. Do it @Phillies!
