That the Phillies tv broadcasters didn’t understand this ruling and couldn’t explain it to viewers is malpractice. It’s a $3.5b franchise. They need to hire competent broadcasters. The out at 1st was the third out, a runner being tagged after that is irrelevant. Simple.

His hiring never made sense to me if the league really wants the WBC to be respected. Get an actual manager, or a player with a Yadi-like reputation. Granting a guy a high-level job with no experience just because he’s good on TV is so America.

A league employee becomes manager for what is effectively a league-run entity, then gives an interview to the league-run network where he typically works, which disappears (temporarily) from the league-run website. It's just a lot of league.

@TylerC35007585 @BestBallGod @Phillies @TMacPhils That’s a very different job. A very famous broadcaster recently told me that he thinks Tom is great at calling football and basketball, but not baseball. I agree. He talks too much and is too high-energy for baseball.

@podoffame @EthanNickel4 This grievance is childish. There is ALWAYS more context that exists that gives a fuller view of a performance or comparison and you can’t call out and explain it all, especially on this app. But maybe the complaint is satire and I bit?

This is disingenuous and he knows this. Because this shows "seasons" not by both players at the same ages. MJ also leaving the sport for a year doesn't count as a season, and you're only showing regular-season stats. For example, this is Lebron/MJ at the same ages of 31-34.

This is LeBron James and Michael Jordan across their first 13 seasons. This shows MJ’s entire Bulls career through 1998 and LeBron’s career through his championship season with Cleveland in 2016. Why is it so hard to compare the two? Because after that 2016 season, LeBron played another 10 seasons! When I look below, it clearly favors MJ. But you also can’t ignore that LeBron has just played forever. And not Robert Parish forever, but at an elite level forever. I am always riding with MJ, but if longevity is your jam, I understand why you ride with LeBron.

I’d like MLB to comment on this. They need to get rid of this pre-agreement system. I’m not comfortable being a fan of MLB if they allow for teams to engage with kids that are this young. This is creepy af.

Vladimir Guerrero has the 6th highest batting average of any player in MLB history with 400+ home runs. Only Ted, Babe, Gehrig, Stan, and Foxx have a higher batting average. All five of those players started their MLB careers before baseball was integrated.

My @Fanatics story: I bought a Dart jersey. The quality was so poor I wanted to return it. So I created a return label. Then life got busy and I said eh forget it I’ll keep it. Fanatics said because I began the process I had to return it and took my FanCash as a penalty ($50).
