Built some pickup drones! They're tiny though, so uh... bigger junk needs some slicing up. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame

Guybrush sees Monkey Island for the first time in The Secret of #MonkeyIsland. The top image depicts the EGA's 16-colour palette, while the bottom showcases the VGA's 256-colour palette.

🚨 Indie devs!🚨 Last week I started a database of indie streamers/content creators. It's still growing, but the list is over 100 now. It will be linked in the comments below. Please repost this so we can get it out to as many devs as possible!

I live on a small island somewhere in the Nordic archipelago🇦🇽 and I'm a #solodevsurvivor! I'm making a #PointAndClick about what I know best: Being stuck on a small island. And saunas. It's called "The M/S Cornelia II Incident"🌕

Game Dev Tip: Give your game to indie content creators, so they can showcase your game, don't wait for that 10000000000 followers guy to try out your game

And imo I also would understand if the email said "I can't 100% promise I'll make a content out of it, but I'd love to try it. Maybe in a case where you don't fully like a game you got for free (but initially liked it enough to ask for a key), you could make for example a small tweet like "Played a bit of X today and it was pretty alright"? All visibility and feedback is so important for small devs and that would honestly help out a lot already!

@juliettexgaming @LabsSkull I think there's no reason to feel awkward, you should treat it as a business email rather than a personal one. But I get it! The best case is that the dev will be super happy about it and sends a key (and possibly wants to do further collab), worst case is a "no" or no response.

@MrsTahlly @LabsSkull It also helps if the game has a popular (in demand) genre, looks and plays amazing and appeals to a wide audience. So maybe it is kind of an evolutionary filtering process where only the fittest games make big successes, which is fine at least from the consumer's perspective 🤔

@HardwiredStdios @LabsSkull Yeah, I totally get that! 😅 At the end of the day, it possibly comes down to being discoverable (and have everything ready) for creators who prefer to look for gems themselves and making an effort in those communities where it really is a match. 🤔

Sure, that would be ideal. However, I think many devs are like me and mostly watch the bigger creators that play games you yourself enjoy to watch - these may not overlap with your own game's niche at all. And to maximize your chances of finding one good match, you'd have to know tens of similar creators - and it's hard work being part of so many communities 😄 But I agree with your sentiment and this is also just basic marketing - you have to put hours into it as an indie if you want to make it!

@HardwiredStdios @LabsSkull I know this would take up a lot of devs time (and who really has enough time, right?), but ideally they'd already know creators from watching them and being part of their community. I've seen this work out quite well on other channels at times (even big ones).
