Why are friends with that kind of person? Do you think all men are like that? All people? Do you often fake friendships for sex?

The way that some ppl seem to think friendship and romantic feelings are mutually exclusive or anathema to each other is very odd to me Like… why would him falling in love with you in any way mean he “wasn’t truly your friend”?

Yes. 2) But does that mean every friendship was faked for sex? No. 3) Is it offensive to assume that your friend faked a relationship for sex? Yes

@ProtoBozo @NagashReturns Okay, you’re a guy. Have you ever pretended to be friends with a woman to have to sex with her? Or fallen in love with a friend? It’s not empathic to validate someone’s misguided prejudices. But I do understand why she feels this way - it’s, ironically, a lack of empathy.

Ironic how people are responding with prolly no context of the clip, or characters, which alone offers perspective. Much like how real girls' similar experiences are also like this and we just judge it from how WE see things and not considering enough how THEY feel and why.

@charliesubby It’s not dehumanising. It’s annoying. What situation would this happen where humans aren’t involved? What object was he treating you like? Woman always say men don’t see you as people, but can you not understand the human emotion of intense desire?

@charliesubby As a man, I cannot imagine being mad at an ugly annoying woman paying me for lessons, attempting to introduce me to her family because they like me. Annoying, pathetic.. yes. But I wouldn’t feel ‘dehumanised’ just because someone I didn’t like desperately wanted to be with me

Made a couple guy friends at a con once who hit on me. I told them I wasn’t interested but it came up that I tutored Japanese so they signed up. On the second lesson one guy’s family was conveniently nearby, & he introduced me to his parents… I didn’t find out until later
