Project Update: Cycling Track work is underway at Fazal Haq Road, G/6. The 375KM track will be established in all sectors of Islamabad & connected with all Metro stations enabling alternate transportation. Citizens are welcome to visit & see progress & share feedback. #CDAcares

CDA is in process of implementing "Cycling as an alternate transport" project. Over 146 Km of dedicated cycling lane will be developed all over Islamabad. This projects aims to reduce carbon footprint, traffic congestion. Introduce Paddle & E-bikes. #CDAcares

Successfully conducted the trials for the @UCI_MTB Asian Continental Championships to be held next month in India. Thank you @CDAthecapital @DGEnvtCDA for cleaning up the Jungle Track in time for the event. @UCI_cycling @MTBIslamabad @Islamabadies @Noormengal_

The current condition of the MTB Pump Track at F-9 Park. The grass & bushes have taken over. Some part of the track has been washed away due to insufficient water drainage. Please fix this as well @CDAthecapital @DGEnvtCDA @MTBIslamabad @Pakistaninpics @Islamabadies

The Shakarparrian Jungle Track needs some serious attention. Too many fallen trees & seasonal overgrowth has made it nearly impossible to cross. Kudos to everyone who rode it today @MTBIslamabad @CDAthecapital @DGEnvtCDA @Islamabadies

The road to daman e koh and peer sohawa at times becomes congested. Should we plan a road from peer sohawa to barri Imam and 3 rd avenue to make it a loop to facilitate traffic movement or not ? Pl say or no.

The youngest biker inaugurates the jungle trek at Shakarparian today. The trek is open all weekdays and is 3 KM. Developing a new cycle trek along Rawal Lake too. Shall make it functional very soon IaA. Let the efforts grow. Team CDA.

One thing we know for SURE — building & widening highways ALWAYS succeeds in helping sell more cars, gas & suburban sprawl; burning more public budgets; & increasing GHG emissions. So if THOSE are your goals, it’s the perfect thing to do. Just don’t expect it to reduce traffic.
