This tweet is a good illustration of how useless most of Congress is. He knows the President cannot make laws. He knows they have to pass it. He doesn't want to do anything that might endanger his power and career. We have a Constitution. Follow it!

It’s abjectly shameful that President Trump is trying to get the Supreme Court to do his dirty work and put the Dreamers under threat of mass deportation. We stand with our Dreamers. #HomeIsHere

The Senate GOP has exactly two options if it wants to avoid drifting into irrelevance and a stunning loss in November: (1) Keep the filibuster and 60-vote cloture rule fully intact, but stand ready to overcome Senate Democrats’ unprecedented pattern of obstruction by aggressively enforcing the “talking filibuster”—a move that would require senators to work longer, harder hours and take fewer recesses, but lead to more thoughtful, careful deliberation in the legislative process, OR (2) Nuke the filibuster. I strongly prefer the first option. But we must choose either one or the other—because the status quo isn’t working and the resulting inertia isn’t just making it impossible to pursue a coherent agenda; it’s hurting the American people. What’s your preference?

There is a serious constitutional crisis when the legislative branch of the federal government is unable to legislate because of self-imposed ‘extra-constitutional’ rules and procedures. The Byrd Rule… named for a long-dead Democrat leader who appears to control the Senate from the grave. The filibuster rule that can’t work because of some long ago interpretation of the filibuster process. The question is whether the Senate leaders will continue to allow their foolish adherence to arcane rules and procedures to create this constitutional crisis. They say they won’t “nuke” the filibuster. But they also won’t overturn the long ago ruling by a parliamentarian who “interpreted” the 2-speech rule to mean the filibuster can never ever end. As we have had to learn more about the Senate rules, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Senate is refusing to protect the filibuster by overturning the interpretation that makes the filibuster impossible to end without a supermajority. That’s a constitutional crisis and rather than seriously address the issue and the procedures and the rules, the Senators left town. So disgraceful. We will know soon enough where these Senators went if they traveled during the recess. How many went on junkets. Who had fundraising trips. What they did rather than face their responsibilities. Like funding DHS. Like securing our elections. Like addressing this constitutional crisis they have allowed to take over the Senate and that they refuse to remedy. This is not what the voters bargained for. This irresponsible bunch of Senators who refuse to protect the Senate and ensure its ability to function to serve the people. They’re mad at @BasedMikeLee for calling this all into public view. On full display so we now see it - understand it. And hate it. But he’s not the problem. They just didn’t want the public to ever find out. But now we know. And we are disgusted. @EIwatchdogs @BasedMikeLee @chiproytx

This is not just a memory, it is the life I have lived, and the reason I will never stay silent. In 2006, while working for the US-funded Arabic news network Alhurra, I was sent to Iraq. My work took me deep inside prisons, sitting face to face with jihadists and terrorists, hearing, without filters, the ideology that fuels violence and destruction. Then came the response. Al-Qaeda issued a FATWA against me. Fatwa is a religious decree that branded me an enemy and called for my death by any of their followers. We alerted our office in DC. I was moved into the Green Zone, and two armed bodyguards were assigned to protect me. But I refused to leave. I stayed. I finished the work. Because exposing the truth mattered more than fear. For more than 25 years, I have been confronting this ideology, challenging it, exposing it, and warning the West about its consequences. I know how it spreads. I know how it hides behind narratives. And I know exactly what happens when people choose to ignore it. I did not escape it only to watch it take root in the United States 🇺🇸 I will not be silent. I will not step back. And I will not allow the ideology I fought for decades to be imported into the country that gave me a shelter from these jihadists. @mngop @MPLSGOP @RapidResponse47 @LeoTerrellDOJ @SenTedCruz @SenFettermanPA @SenTomCotton @elonmusk @FBIDirectorKash @SecWar

The left wants to rule and the right wants to be left alone. The right suffers from failing to realize that you can only be left alone if the politicians who want to leave you alone rule. That is not always Republicans but it’s is NEVER Democrats And before you tell me “not good enough” I’m going to ask you whether or not you vote in all the primaries. Because if you don’t, you’re helping to ensure that you never get the kind of Republicans you want.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali - let’s talk a bit about her. She is one of the most courageous voices of our time. She was born in 1969 in Mogadishu, Somalia, into a strict Muslim family. As a young girl, she was subjected to female genital mutilation. She grew up between Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and Kenya under a strict Islamic upbringing. In 1992, she fled to the Netherlands to escape an arranged marriage - she jumped off a train in Europe and applied for asylum. There, she learned Dutch, earned a degree in political science, and began working with integration. She lost her faith in Islam. She became an atheist, and later converted to Christianity in 2023. She saw clearly how Islam oppresses women - forced marriages, honor killings, female genital mutilation, polygamy, and the total lack of freedom. In 2004, she made the short film Submission together with Theo van Gogh. The film showed violence against women in Islam. Shortly after, Theo van Gogh was murdered in broad daylight in Amsterdam by a radical Muslim. A threat against Ayaan was left pinned to his chest: she was next. She received death threats for years. She had to live under police protection. She was elected to the Dutch parliament for the Liberal Party, where she fought for Muslim women’s rights and against the illusions of multiculturalism. She has written books such as Infidel, Nomad, and Heretic, where she directly criticizes the core of Islam - not just “extremism,” but the ideology itself. Today, she lives in the United States, married to historian Niall Ferguson, and continues her work, among other things through her foundation (AHA Foundation). She warns the West about mass immigration from Muslim countries, parallel societies, and the self-deception that claims Islam can be reformed without confronting its texts and history. Like Salman Rushdie, Ayaan Hirsi Ali has paid a high price for speaking the truth. Rushdie was hunted for a book. She was hunted for showing the reality of her own life and the lives of millions of Muslim women. She is not “Islamophobic.” She is a former Muslim who has seen the system from the inside and refuses to stay silent. She points to the uncomfortable truth: that Western values such as freedom of speech, gender equality, and individual liberty are incompatible with classical sharia Islam. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a living example of why the Enlightenment is still worth defending. She risked her life to say what most people don’t dare: that the problem is not only “extremists,” but a religion that, at its core, oppresses women and rejects criticism. She deserves respect from all of us - not because she is “controversial,” but because she refuses to lie in order to be politically correct. In a time where many bow to threats, she continues to speak the truth. These are the kind of people who keep the soul of the West alive. Thank you Ayaan.❤️‍🔥🪽✝️

NEW: San Francisco judge Linda Colfax has released a man who fatally assaulted an 84-year-old because the prison sentence would have a "poor impact" on him. 25-year-old Antoine Watson was granted probation just two months after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and assault. Watson violently assaulted Vicha Ratanapakdee in 2021, which resulted in his death just two days later. He was acquitted of first-and second-degree murder charges and instead convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Colfax says Watson being in prison would have a "poor impact" on him and didn't think he should be there because he "expressed remorse," according to the SF Chronicle. Colfax is accused of hiding details from the jury in an apparent effort to help Watson escape prison time. Infuriating and evil.

A video is going viral claiming that the IDF “abused a toddler.” It is being amplified by Al Jazeera and echoed by the likes of Iltija Mufti in India. Sounds horrific. That is exactly the point. Now here is what actually happened, a story most people will not hear. Last Thursday, IDF troops spotted a suspicious individual walking toward them in a high-risk combat zone, the so-called Yellow Line area. He was carrying something in his arms. That something turned out to be a 3-year-old child. The troops did what any trained force does. They issued repeated warnings to stop. He did not. He kept advancing. Closing distance. In a live combat zone, toward armed soldiers who had no way of knowing intent. At that point, the IDF fired warning shots, not at him, but at the roadside, to create distance. The goal was not to harm. It was to stop a potentially lethal situation. Some splinters may have caused minor injuries. Then comes the part that completely changes the narrative. The man was apprehended. During questioning, he admitted to being a Hamas operative. He also admitted something chilling. He brought his own toddler with him deliberately as a human shield, believing IDF troops would hesitate to act. Let that sink in. A child was not abused. A child was weaponized. And what did the IDF do? They took the toddler in. Gave him medical attention. Fed him. Kept him under constant supervision of a physician and officers. Wrapped him in a thermal blanket. Then they contacted the International Committee of the Red Cross and ensured he was safely handed over after locating his family. That is the full story. But it does not trend. Because it does not fit the narrative. This is how modern information warfare works. A fragment of truth, stripped of context, amplified by powerful platforms, and consumed by millions as fact. And in the process, the real victim, the child used as a shield, disappears from the story. Not everything viral is truth. Sometimes, it is propaganda dressed as outrage.

🚨NEW: Fix your gaze on another strange, Va. Democrat-gerrymandered district, which is in Southwest Virginia. State Democrats literally could NOT find enough Democrats in the current 9th Congressional District to turn it “blue.” So, they “packed” more Republican voters from numerous counties to the northeast into the 9th to dilute their numbers elsewhere. They scooped out university towns & dumped them into the Seahorse (6th) District to make it Democrat. Then they created an unbelievably HUGE 9th District with a gaping slice! Finally, Democrats grudgingly gave the Republicans *ONE* Va. congressional seat out of 11! Wait … Is the gerrymandered 9th Congressional District turning into … a red Gadsden Snake? And he’s facing east instead of west? WHAT is he doing in Virginia? He looks ticked off. 🔥Vote NO to the Democrats' EXTREME gerrymander!🔥

Ilhan Omar Committed Immigration Fraud: “Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America” The VP says the White House is going to “go after” Omar for these crimes. “What are the legal remedies now that we know she’s committed immigration fraud? How do you go after her? How do you investigate her? How do you actually build the case to actually get some justice for the American people?” Vance also calls for a probe into Omar’s knowledge of rampant Somali fraud in Minnesota: “She has been at the center of a lot of the worst fraudsters in the Somali community.”

Mehdi, first, grow a pair and let people answer your post directly. Second, you keep claiming that Israel is committing "genocide" on the Gazans. This is an antisemitic blood libel. I'm fed up with all the pussy-footing around an ugly reality. Here is the unspoken truth about genocide in the Middle East, the plain fact about genocide that most people are steadfastly ignoring. The Palestinians have a stated goal of killing every single Jew in Israel—and they have been trying over and over for 75 years to do exactly that. That is the very definition of genocide. It began with the war the Palestinians started on the very day Israel was created, when the Palestinians firmly believed that they would win, kill all the Jews, and take all of the Jews' land and belongings. When that didn't work, they began a string of endless wars with the same object in mind—killing all the Jews. In more modern times, both the PLO and Hamas have the same genocidal message baked into their charters—the extermination of the Jews. And the Palestinian people are clearly in favor of genocide—it's taught in their schools, they repeat the genocidal "From the river to the sea" chant endlessly, they send bombers into shopping malls, they fire numberless missiles randomly into Israeli civilian areas, and they pay welfare to the families of the suicide murderers blowing up women and children. All of those are the deliberate targeting of Jewish civilians, the exact genocidal crime that Israel is falsely accused of. Finally, Hamas started the current war to the death by committing their unbelievable atrocities on 10/7 and then promising to repeat them over and over until every Jew in Israel is dead. Can you say "genocide"? The reality is, the Israelis have enough firepower to turn Gaza into glassy slag and kill every living thing. But they haven't done that and never will. Instead, they are doing their utmost to prevent civilian casualties. To me, the Israeli restraint in the face of the endless genocidal actions of the Palestinians is remarkable—in their place I would not, could not, be so restrained. So don't give me any BS about Israeli genocide. Anyone with half a brain can see that it is the Palestinians who have engaged in a violent, murderous genocidal agenda for as long as both countries have existed. Unfortunately, "anyone with half a brain" clearly doesn't include the majority of the supporters of the Palestinian genocide … I can't have everything, I guess. And on the Israeli side, calling Israel's fight to defend itself "genocide"? Get real. • This is the only genocide in history where the people supposedly being genocided could end it today by releasing the hostages and laying down their arms. "Genocide" over, peace returns. • This is the only genocide in history where the people supposedly committing the genocide have provided over 475,000 tonnes of food to the people being genocided. • This is the only genocide in history where the children supposedly being genocided who require evacuation for urgent treatment are allowed by the genociders to be sent to hospitals in third countries, such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Egypt. • This is the only genocide in history where the people supposedly committing the genocide are required to provide water and electricity to the genocidees. • This is the only genocide in history where the people supposedly committing the genocide have sent over 18,000 tonnes of medical supplies to the genocidees. Providing medicine to your sworn enemies in wartime? Gotta say it. The Israelis are really good at war, but they are REALLY bad at genocide. • And most importantly, this is the only genocide in history where the army is warning the genocidees via text messages, emails, leaflets, and radio and TV announcements where they are going to attack next, so people can avoid being genocided. Consider what that means. That is giving up a huge military advantage, the advantage of surprise. And the inevitable corollary is that the lack of surprise increases Israeli deaths, purely in order to avoid Muslim deaths Let me say that again. Israeli Army young men and women are dying to prevent Muslim civilian deaths, and you are accusing Israel and the IDF of genocide? For shame. That is antisemitism at its ugliest. "Genocide"? Don't make me laugh. My best to all … well, except jihadis and their supporters like Mehdi Hasan. Grrr … w.

Hello Senator Thune, At 3 AM on Friday, March 27th, in a near-empty chamber, you passed a bill by voice vote that excludes all funding for ICE and CBP. Let me repeat that: voice vote. No roll call. No record of who was there. No accountability. Just you, Barrasso, and a handful of senators shuffling paper in the dead of night while America slept. You could have demanded a recorded vote. You chose not to. You could have held the line for five more days until the House returned. You chose not to. You could have used the same procedural tools Democrats have used against you for 40 days. You chose not to. Instead, you gave Chuck Schumer exactly what he asked for, DHS funding minus immigration enforcement, and called it a win. Then you walked to the cameras and blamed the Democrats. Let's be precise about what you did: 1. You caved to a demand Democrats made on Day 1 of this shutdown. Forty-one days of supposed hardball negotiation, and you settled for their opening offer. 2. You handed them a template. The next time Democrats want to defund any agency — ICE, CBP, or anything else — they now know: just shut down DHS and wait. John Thune will fold at 3 AM. 3. You punted to reconciliation. "Good possibility," you said. Not "we will." Not "guaranteed." Just maybe. Meanwhile, ICE operates on fumes from last year's bill with no certainty of future funding. The precedent you set: You have argued for months that the filibuster is sacrosanct. That the 60-vote threshold protects minority rights. That we cannot bend Senate rules for policy wins. But at 3 AM on Friday, you bent every norm that actually mattered: • Voice vote to avoid accountability • Empty chamber to avoid debate • Midnight deal to avoid scrutiny • Immediate recess to avoid questions You'll bend the rules to avoid a fight. You just won't bend them to win one. What you've actually accomplished: Democrats demanded ICE restrictions. They got ICE defunded. Not reformed. Not restrained. Defunded. And you're out here tweeting about how Democrats are the "Defund the Police" party while you just voted to defund border enforcement at 3 in the morning. The question you should answer: Why did this deal have to happen at 3 AM? Why couldn't it happen at 3 PM, with cameras rolling and every senator on record? You know why. Because you didn't want your voters to see what surrender looks like. Here's my message: We saw it anyway. Stop hiding behind "Democrat obstruction." You're the Majority Leader. You set the schedule. You control the floor. You chose this outcome. Own it.
