With immense pride, it is my pleasure to announce that the prestigious *The Gallivanter’s Guide Editor’s Choice Award for Hotel of the Year 2025* has been awarded to The Postcard at the Durrung Tea Estate, Assam making it the Number 1 hotel in the world. Spread over 1400 acres of tea gardens and a short drive away from Kaziranga, the experience is indeed magical.
This award is very special, why, because in the last 25 years, they have only given the award to 3 hotels in India - Amarvilas, Udaivilas and Umaid Bhawan. The second thing is that the editor travels to each location and we won from a shortlist of some of the best hotels in the world, hotels that I have admired globally. Third and the most important, they are not an advertisement-based publication, so you cannot buy ads and mention that the readers of that publication ranked you. Fourth, they are the most accomplished and discerning travel award in the world for the luxury traveler.
The credit for this recognition rests entirely with our extraordinary teams, whose commitment to genuine hospitality brings @PostcardHotel vision to life every single day. Equally, our owners deserve our deepest gratitude for their unwavering belief in our mission to build the finest hotel brand in the world. And most important, our guests who have chosen to stay with us amongst so many choices that they have.
We look forward to welcome you to your next Postcard holiday maybe this December!

@ColvynHarrisPOV @mybmc @MumbaiMetro01 @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @AshwiniBhide @mumbaimirror @mid_day This is illegal dumping as it's not a designated spot . BMC needs to clear it and ensure it's cleaned out . No civic sense to spoil the look of the newly inaugurated Metro.

@mybmc @MumbaiMetro01 @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @AshwiniBhide Please. Please have the GARBAGE collected at the entrance to the NEW Metro 🚇 station Vivarea / #MahalaxmiStation / Saat Rasta. Heaven below, Hell and Filth above. Is no one responsible? @mumbaimirror @mid_day

@DalrympleWill @TajMahalMumbai Can't agree with you more !

An appreciation tweet for Ritesh Sharma, Gen Manager of the @TajMahalMumbai. The Taj has always been one of the most elegant city hotels in Asia, but under his watch its become more stylish, well-run and beautifully managed than ever. I've just spent three nights there and I don't think I've ever been so well looked after or more generously pampered!

@virsanghvi Not entirely factual as when the Maldives reopened its borders Resorts like Soneva offered to comp a two-week quarantine for guests should they get infected during their Indian Ocean holiday . People should take appropriate travel insurance before departure.

I agree with you that it is not the duty of the Indian tax payer to bail out holiday makers.
But I think the Maldives government & the resorts should not charge people for enforced quarantine.
They spend enough on marketing. Spend a tiny part of that on stranded tourists

@MudrasRajesh @buzzindelhi @virsanghvi Now this, i totally disagree with. Why should the taxpayers bail out people who didn't have the sense to stay put during these Covid times? Those resources could be better utilised, vaccinating/ subsidising the affected lot, here, at home.
