This guy will not be missed by the conservatives in the State House. He’s vengeful “mean girl.” When he announced to his caucus, they need to kill the bill in the morning and stated “no Freedom Caucus Bill should ever pass this legislature.“ Then he played dumb when a newspaper reporter asked him why he killed the Bill.

Here is South Carolina Rep. Scott Montgomery of Spartanburg (District 32) celebrating the killing the Ivermectin over the counter bill after voting with the Democrats. Why is he cheering? The liberal RINO leadership in our legislature voted with Democrats to kill that bill to punish conservatives and the upstate for defeating the McMaster machine AND sending every member of the conservative Freedom Caucus, who they tried to defeat, back to Columbia. And we drop-kicked their girl for governor, Pam Evette. Before, the Ivermectin bill was uncontroversial and had already passed both chambers. Apparently the machine is very angry at us. That shows you how hard the Upstate hit them on Tuesday in the runoff election. These same liberal legislators are the ones who run slick, well-funded ads at election time telling you how conservative they are. But this is what they actually do when you send them to Columbia -- spend their time punishing actual conseravatives and blocking good bills that wouldn't be constroversial in any other Republican legislature in the country. It's got to stop.

Although today’s SCGOP Convention in Columbia did not go the way we had hoped, I’m very grateful to our Dorchester County delegates for showing up and standing together on an issue that matters to our county. We voted unanimously to keep the power to choose our Republican nominees with the people, rather than handing it to the state party. Today’s vote was not simply about closed primaries. Nearly every Republican I know supports closing the primaries. The problem was that leadership bundled a popular idea with a much more divisive one — candidate qualifications — and forced an all-or-nothing vote instead of letting delegates consider each issue on its own merits. Imposing new candidate qualifications could not stand on its own, which is why party leadership changed the convention rules at the last minute to tie the two issues together. They also bent credentialing rules to allow individuals who had not participated in the reorganization process to serve as delegates. This move effectively stacked the room in favor of consolidating more power with the state executive committee and removing decision-making authority from Republican primary voters. Thirty-two state representatives have already removed their names from the bill that included candidate qualifications. Many have since signed on to a clean closed-primary bill after hearing from grassroots Republicans across the state. I remain confident that if we continue to speak up for a clean closed-primary bill and against the candidate qualification provision, we can succeed in closing our primaries while keeping the power to choose our nominees with the people.

If you believe that God’s Word is sufficient for all things pertaining to life and godliness, you’re political. 3. If you believe we’re called to love our neighbors as ourselves, you’re political. 4. If you believe we’re supposed to be salt and light in the world around us, you’re political. 5. If you believe that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Christ is Lord, you’re political. 6. If you believe that Christians are to work for the common good of all people, you’re political. 7. If you believe Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, you’re political. Staying out of the public square doesn’t make us more faithful, it just means someone else will shape the world our in which our children and neighbors live.

If you live in South Carolina and get an election mailer from Palmetto Truth Project or Conservative Grassroots Network Election Fund, these are liberal groups masquerading as right-wing groups. They want to knock out the only conservative members of the legislature left: The Freedom Caucus. Nearly every word is a lie. They voted the opposite. If you're a conservative, YOU should vote FOR whoever these groups are attacking. They know Freedom Caucus members don't have money to fight back because they aren't RINOs owned by liberal special interests.
