Man, if only they started that weeks ago.
I’m pretty sure the House passed those unvetted earmarks in less than an hour from when they first hit our desks. One of the many reasons I voted no.
Glad to see some show of due diligence…

So, all the community investment projects, AKA earmarks, will be put into one fund, and a committee will review the proposals. It will be done in separate legislation for an up or down vote. It would have taken weeks to go through them one at a time and held up the budget.

Oh there’s an interest, but when the realization that spending has to decrease to expedite tax cuts, that interest goes away.
If spending could be reined in, South Carolina could provide permanent tax relief for residents of all ages.

Senate has offered to fund a whopping $173M of the House's pork, but that's apparently not good enough for @BruceBannister. Starting to wonder what is REALLY motivating the House to reject what is clearly the best deal it could have ever hoped to get from the Senate.

Two sources with the campaign say that Graham has voted in the 2024 and 2026 primaries, and would not need a waiver from the state party. Drew McKissick, the state party chair, says Graham will be vetted just like everyone else.
