@CalebFranzen My only view here is we're not seeing the 70's ...it's more closely aligned with the 40's. However Powell will align with Volcker and hold a tighter for longer , he will run out of runway if inflation falls below FFR

Inversion ≠ pause/pivot! In the 70's/80's, the Fed tightened monetary policy such that the FFR > 2Y Treasury yield, the same inversion that people are focused on today. However, the Fed continued to raise rates after the inversion to remain restrictive & tighten further.
