She didn’t know where she was or even her own address. Long looked through her bag, found her details, and drove her home. But instead of helping her safely and leaving, he followed her into her property and sexually assaulted her. A family member later saw him entering the home on doorbell footage. Despite her obvious confusion and vulnerability, Long claimed he didn’t realise she lacked the capacity to consent. The court heard his actions caused a rapid deterioration in the victim’s health, while leaving her already heartbroken family devastated that someone could exploit her in such a cruel and calculated way. ➡️Anyone who has witnessed Alzheimer’s firsthand knows just how vulnerable sufferers become as the illness progresses - moving through devastating stages of confusion, memory loss and dependency before 24-hour care or residential placement is ever considered or becomes unavoidable. Robert McGregor, who was jailed for just 10 years in 2017, is due to be released on May 29 2026. The paedophile groomed and raping male children as young as three in the Inverness area for 13 years, filming the horrific abuse and sharing videos with others. His sex assaults on children spanned more than a decade between 2001 and 2014 and all the attacks occurred in the Inverness area. His youngest victim was aged just three. Another boy was subjected to nearly a decade of abuse from the age of six and the third child victim was 12 when McGregor assaulted him. He manipulated the trust of local families to gain access to their children, with his youngest victim aged just three. He was caught with a cache of child sexual abuse material by police which led them to identify three victims he had sexually assaulted . In video footage McGregor was seen raping one distressed boy who was saying "no" and "don't" as he was preyed on by the paedophile. McGregor also filmed himself and a three-year-old with his nappy undone as he raped the vulnerable little boy who had no speech. He also recorded footage of a victim almost being physically sick after he perpetrated a sex act on the boy whom he subjected to years of abuse. McGregor filmed rapes so he could enjoy them again later and shared video of his abuse of one victim with other paedophiles around the world. The mum of one of his victims, who we are not naming to protect her child’s identity, received a letter via the Scottish Prison Service’s Victim Notification Scheme confirming his upcoming release. A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: “We fully recognise that receiving information regarding an offender’s release date can be very upsetting for victims and their families. “We would encourage anyone in this situation to contact organisations such as Victim Support Scotland, who can offer emotional support, advice and practical help. “If there are specific safety concerns, individuals should contact Police Scotland ahead of an offender’s release to determine if there are any safety planning measures or supports that can be put in place.” More than 2000 indecent photos and 899 videos were recovered many of which were found to contain material at the most extreme level of abuse. In one case officers produced stills of a child from video footage and images were shown to a staff member at an Inverness school who identified the boy. They traced the ex-pupil and the man broke down when they asked if he had suffered abuse from McGregor. Pakistani Muslim 'Sibtain Abbas' who served time in a Bradford Prison for sexual offences in the UK has been caught by paedophile hunters in Limerick Ireland attempting to meet a 13 year old girl. Prison taught him nothing other than when he gets released he can just head over to Ireland and start again with a clean slate. And apparently that's exactly what happened. How many other Pakistani Muslims just like him are migrating here after they get released from UK prisons? This case is so disturbing that even investigators said they were left speechless. 💔 34 year old Kelli Bryant is back behind bars after a Michigan judge revoked her bond, calling her recent actions a blatant delay tactic ahead of trial. And the details of this case are horrific. Back in February 2025, police were asked to do a welfare check after Bryant’s landlord said rent hadn’t been paid for months and nobody had seen her in a long time. When deputies opened the condo door, they immediately had to back out and return wearing hazmat suits and gas masks. Inside were Bryant’s three children: a 15 year old boy, a 13 year old girl, and a 12 year old girl. Police say the children had been abandoned inside that home for FOUR TO FIVE YEARS. Garbage was stacked several feet high. Mold covered the walls. Human waste filled parts of the house. The toilet overflowed. The bathtub contained feces. The children wore filthy clothes, had severely matted hair, and toenails so overgrown they struggled to walk. Investigators say the girls had started puberty during those years and were reportedly only given menstrual pads once. Even more heartbreaking: the children allegedly didn’t know how to brush their teeth or properly flush a toilet anymore because they had lived isolated for so long. And while all of this was happening… Prosecutors say Bryant was living only a few miles away. She allegedly told the children never to answer the door and intentionally filled them with fear of the outside world. Detectives say she even removed the batteries from the smoke detectors so nobody would ever have a reason to enter the home. Meanwhile, authorities say she continued collecting thousands of dollars in welfare money intended for the children. One detail especially hit investigators hard: her oldest son still had her saved in his phone as “world’s greatest mom.” She reportedly had her daughters saved as: “kid 1” and “kid 2.” Bryant now faces three counts of first degree child abuse, each carrying a possible life sentence. Her child abuse trial is scheduled to begin June 1, 2026.

This is outrageous.. Not a single person on my flight is masked up while we’re in the middle of a double pandemic (Covid + Hantavirus). I politely informed the flight attendant that this is a super spreader event. She just shrugged and walked away. I've already filed a formal complaint with the FAA and CDC. I was in the room for @Keir_Starmer speech this morning. Based on what I saw and how it was delivered, I have only one conclusion. Keir should stay in post. Keir was absolutely in his element, the content of the speech shows that he understands the issues, the actions shows that after certain personnel departures we are now supercharging the right direction. These elections were difficult, in Stevenage although we removed the leader of the Reform UK group from the council, we still lost 9 seats, which is a huge blow from winning 32/39 seats two years ago. We didn’t do enough to convince the public things will get better, but we never will if we are embroiled in our own psychodrama. It is understandable that MP’s right now are getting pressure put on them from councillors, activists and local party members, a lot of whom have been wiped out last weekend, or have close friends and colleagues who have lost their seats. My message to them, is stay strong. If today is any indicator, were are on the right path & you should not put that in jeopardy. Keir Starmer was elected to lead national renewal. If he takes the bold steps he outlined to change how government works, speak clearly about who Labour governs for and why, coupled with the pace of delivery already under way, a second term remains within reach. Swapping leaders will not get us there. That is the clear to me.

A sex attacker brutally raped a 14-year-old girl after taking her hostage - while on bail for grooming two other youngsters to travel to his home. Scott Ijomanta put the teenager through a horrific ordeal at his flat in Maryhill, Glasgow, in August 2024. The 38-year-old - who claimed he was just 12 while trawling Snapchat for young girls - chillingly told his victim at one stage: "I can see that you are terrified - it just makes me want to kill you." Ijomanta struck a year after he had bought train tickets for a 12-year-old girl and her 13-year-old friend to travel from England to Glasgow - but police instead found the duo before they made the journey. Ijomanta could now face a possible life sentence after he was convicted of the crimes. Ijomanta was convicted unanimously of abduction, assault and rape, as well as sending sexual communications to a child. Mr McKenna said prosecutors were moving for a full risk assessment to be carried out on the attacker, which could lead to an Order for Lifelong Restriction being imposed.

The children were all aged under 11-years-old, with the youngest being just three when she was assaulted. Shaw pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent assault, three counts of indecency with a child, and two counts of indecent assault of a male. The prosecutor also said in October 1980 Shaw was given a two-year probation order after pleading guilty to indecently assaulting two girls. He was initially sentenced to a total of six years in prison, having been sentenced according to the laws in place at the time his crimes were committed, which the court heard were significantly more lenient than today's guidelines. This sentenced has now been reduced to three years under the "slip rule", which states a court may correct an error or omission in a judgement at any time.
