I was told by the 10% there would not be any problem with it. It became policy at schools. Then it turned out it was a bit of a problem. Puberty blockers and sex change surgery on minors. I was told it saves lives or is totally reversible. It became OK to do in some places. But then we learned, the science was again ignored and we were lied to. The groups advising game developers how to make their games to fit with the 10% audience. You don't think people noticed that change? The games, mostly, stopped selling. People don't enjoy a false ideology preaching to them. Etc. Etc. Etc.

It took less than a decade for the left to pivot from "I disagree but defend your right to say it" to "your words are literal violence."

Without evidence? Before the 10% did their thing, you could discuss almost anything almost anywhere on the internet. Movies didn't feel obligated to put one of every race in every scene. Or to make every female character one dimensional 'can't do wrongs'. And before the 10% they didn't blame their audience for not liking it. Before the 10% we didn't have double digit percentage of HR reporting that they're sort of told not to hire white men. That's some of it.

Trump has an off-ramp to his threat to "obliterate" Iran's power plants. He can say that he's listened to the pleas of Gulf allies, whose energy and desalination infrastructure would be targeted if Trump follows through. I'm sure he'll also receive a briefing on all the damage the US has done to Iran's military, which he can brag about. If he goes ahead, then he's sacrificing the energy and water supplies for millions of people.
