Primo example of the MFX Velocity (left) & Force (right) Sequence visuals identifying the higher performing rep. Look at the Blue. AVG V was 0.74 / 0.73 PK V was 1.25 / 1.22 Concentric only data does not distinguish rep quality. Elastic Index 100 was 3.24 / 4.98 (blue)! 👈👍

From a performance perspective, 2 very different squat reps. Yet, the full ROM - Pk V of 1.4 vs 1.51 & Avg V of 0.87 vs 1.01 - does not tell the story. ⁦@movefactorx⁩ Velocity Sequence™️ does tell the story, big time step forward for the practical minded seeking results.

Anyone have any insight into ECC overload velocity zones and their force outputs? We've got well researched VBT zones for concentric, but cant find anything for eccentric....

Those hiring, when they do actually go through a correct hiring process only skim read your CV/Resume A first impression is made in the first 5-7secs… Yet so many people aren’t asking for a critique of their CV This last week I spent time with two coaches asking me why I thought they werent getting interviews Networking and experience aside, it’ll likely be the impression you (don’t) make from you CV Send it to someone you trust. You’ll be surprised what they see that you don’t… If you want my tips on CV writing for sports jobs, comment “CV” below, and ill DM It you

@Scott_Damman Complete agree with you here @Scott_Damman - lots of devices now available, so make sure you’re picking the one that meets your / your squads requirements and can be seamlessly integrated (another often overlooked factor). Will you be at the @NSCA Nat Con in July?

With the pending retirement of the PUSH product, teams are looking to replace their VBT tech. Take a breath and examine the What/Why/Purpose with your program's VBT application - this is a dead ass serious point that I still believe most mainstream users completely miss.

More great research from @HarryDorrell group VBT protocols vs customised to the individual. Both made pretty good progress, but if it’s available to you individualisation is the way to go. Something we are looking to integrate into the metric app as we build.

@RiccardoRambo @VBTcoach It’s important to note, they only received an audio cue from the GymAware - nothing else. That’s the only difference, and really is the whole point of the study. “VBT” facilitates the additional feedback that other training methods don’t offer.

Can % training still be considered appropriate for strength? Dorrell et al, 6-weeks training, VBT group outperformed %BT group across the board. PLUS: VBT saw a 4x greater improvement in jump height (2cm v 0.5cm) With less work done on all lifts #strengthandconditioning

@RiccardoRambo @VBTcoach Happy to answer any questions @RiccardoRambo. For clarity, all athletes received the same instruction prior to lifting, and all athletes received the same encouragement during lifting - only the VBT group received an audio cue (bing) if they hit or missed the target velocity 1/2

Harry help us! @HarryDorrell More are adding VBT sport tech but mainstream application stuck in the decades old zones. It's astounding how many are making the $$$ tech investment but entrenched within flawed methodology.🤯 Here's a link to the publication: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30946276/

@jmc3147 @VBTcoach So the VBT “zones” were specific to that training group - none of the manufacturer velocity based zones you see were used as these were deemed too wide and too general. We essentially created our own “zones” based off the training groups LVP

@VBTcoach We’re the Velocity Zones used as their prescription? For example, 0.75-1.0 m/s for the bar. Or was that based on Velocity Loss?
