@HarryHindsightS @DWPgovuk So put a sensible limit in. Most people require a pension bigger than their house to buy a decent annuity. You pay income tax on the way out and now almost 40% on any residual, so why bother saving to a pension?

Well, that's it for me. I'm officially done with being a domestic football supporter. It's not a knee jerk reaction. I've been thinking about this for a while. If you're a big club, you can buy anything and distort the competition to your advantage, however you wish, and it doesn't matter. But if you're outside that elite few, forget it.

@0532LUFC @IanFergieno3 I've worked in analytics, and there's no way a guy standing a significant distance from a training session could gain any reasonably useful information, especially this late in the season.

@betangel @DWPgovuk I am not saying it is right to change the policy retrospectively but it is very hard to deny many wealthy people were using it for the on death benefit to avoid IHT

@HarryHindsightS @DWPgovuk Worse than that, adding it to your estate means you become liable for other rates, even though it's just a pension that you can't use in one go.

@betangel @DWPgovuk "We were told for years to save for retirement, but now you are told it's part of your estate when you die" Not sure of the logic of the statement. It indicates you were paying in not for retirement but estate planning purposes. Legit to do under the rules but different reasons

@DWPgovuk Maybe stop changing the tax treatment of them? We were told for years to save for retirement, but now you are told it's part of your estate when you die. Also, dividend tax credits were removed. Why not incentivise people to save instead and reduce the burden on the state?

@Craig1882073179 @simoncruddace That is incorrect, the first race of the day was late off. By the time of the race you have referenced they were already running significantly late, over 7 minutes late off. They have continued to be further late off even post the next race after the incident

@betangel @idiotfcspotter We had live pictures provided of the inspection, them walking back in, the clerk and some jockeys gave interviews giving the information available at that time, pictures inside the enquiry were provided on itv (audio wasn't). Also announcements could be heard oncourse

This is so disappointing at Chester. Not only that, but the lack of information means that nobody knows what's going on or what to do. Disappointing also for the people who paid good money to be there today.
