@CreatorJonwPuck @GaryTheAlien44 @alexboge No, it is not, you ignorant “platygeoist.” If you want a word meaning “sphere-Earther,” try “sphairogeoist”. At least then the roots would be correct. x.com/HarryWorp/stat…

@CreatorJonwPuck @alexboge Helios (ἥλιος) means “Sun”. Geo (γῆ) means “Earth”. Heliocentric means “Sun centered” and geocentric means “Earth centered”. Sphaira, σφαῖρα, means “sphere”. Platys (πλατύς) — as in platypus (“flat-foot”) — could be used for “flat”. A Flerfer would be a “platygeoist”. 🤣

@MaxQHellcat Ironically, the Soviets’ safety culture was often lackluster.

Flerf Watch
Flerf Watch@FlerfWatch·
One of the first photos of Earth from space - taken October 24, 1946, from a captured German V-2 rocket launched by the US Army from White Sands, New Mexico. A 35mm camera was bolted inside the nose cone. It snapped photos every 1.5 seconds on black & white film as the rocket climbed 65 miles high. The film canister parachuted back to Earth and was recovered from the desert. No computers. No Photoshop. No CGI. Just raw analog film

A group of teens ingest an experimental goo that causes them to grow over thirty feet tall in 'Village of the Giants.' Watch it at 11am with @Svengoolie on #TheU.
