the crew of Alaska 261 rolled their plane inverted in an attempt to arrest their dive. in the CVR you can literally hear the captain ordering "push and roll, push and roll" and saying "at least upside down we're flying"
they stayed inverted on purpose.

No, this is not true. There is no verified record of an airline crew deliberately flying a commercial passenger plane upside down (or inverted) in flight as a deliberate maneuver to fix a critical mechanical or systems error and prevent casualties on the ground. But it was done in a Denzel movie. You need to separate fact from fiction.
