So this brings it down to the classic bout: my dad vs me. Now, I have to say there's been some controversy from the start as my dad's hat is different from the rest of ours because it came out of a different kind of cracker. Some have commented "fix" and "game's gone"

@kieranpmaxwell Agreed. It’s not necessarily something I would buy but it’s fun and celebrates the history. It’s slightly less ‘butch’ and I think that’s one reason why it’s being maligned

The criticism this is getting is unfair: it links back to our mining heritage with the colliery wheel on the current crest, pays homage to 1973, and uses blue, our historic 3rd colour. We've been asking for years for more than the copy/paste nike shirts and we've finally got it

The proposed ban on puberty blockers for young trans people is very concerning.
Labour's manifesto promised to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition & acceptance" -this entails ending the ban on puberty blockers.
I will always stand with trans youth.

I’ve met young people who’ve been prescribed puberty blockers. Some told me they’d helped lift them from depression & probably saved their life.
A blanket ban is wrong & not what Cass recommended. Careful, clinical provision is the way forward, not this politicisation.

Trans people need to be able to exist safely as themselves with respect & dignity, and with equal access to adequately funded healthcare.

yeah actually @wesstreeting , can you pop JK a text and ask her if I should opt for non stimulant medication to treat my ADHD? Seeing as she’s such a fucking fountain of knowledge!!!

The reason he won't meet with trans people is because he knows the harm he's causing, it's intentional, he's just too much of a coward to look a trans kid in the eye and tell them that he wants them to suffer
