The fact that it's called "reverse racism" is a good case for it. Of course we want whatever the reverse of racism is

We're all being gaslit into thinking that poor health is a reflection of lifestyle choices or genetic inevitability. Lifestyle matters, but so does environment. What do pesticides, secondhand smoke, asbestos, PFAS, and viruses have in common? You didn't choose to consume them.

We routinely measure cardiovascular risk by tobacco use, lipids, and family history, but not SARS-CoV-2 infection history. 🤔

the language of affirmation and inclusion is failing us in this moment. trans people don’t need gender markers to “affirm” the gender we “identify as”. accurate sex/gender markers are needed for our protection, physical safety, and access to basic services and rights.
possum faerie 🏴🏳️‍⚧️ 🇵🇸🔻@i_am_remy_bot

Forcing trans people to revert gender markers means they will immediately be outed in any interaction that requires an ID- renting an apt, starting a job, applying for a bank account, every interaction w police. This enables discrimination+can put trans people in physical danger

The US State Department plans to fund MAGA-aligned think-tanks and charities in Europe to promote right-wing values and challenge perceived free speech threats, the Financial Times reports. Senior official Sarah Rogers met rightwing groups in London, Paris, Rome and Milan and discussed grants with Reform UK figures linked to Nigel Farage. The initiative ties to US 250th independence celebrations and targets laws like the UK’s Online Safety Act and EU’s Digital Services Act in favor of US tech capital. European allies view it as blatant interference, while Reform UK remains cautious over ties to unpopular Trump initiatives.

At a roundtable, the administration touted a $50 billion fund that will make large investments in rural health. That funding would accomplish more if not on the heels of an estimated $137 billion reduction in federal Medicaid spending in rural areas. kff.org/medicaid/how-m…

This is absolutely insane and as more reporting comes out, between this and WSJ's reporting and more, I think media needs to ask itself some hard questions about how legit any of this online MAGA stuff is on a given day.

Something strange happened on conservative Twitter on Thursday. A dozen right-wing influencers suddenly became passionate about semiconductor export policy, posting nearly identical (and often false) attacks over a 27-hour period on a bill most people have never heard of. 🧵
