Not to be THAT dictionary, but… It’s ‘per se,’ not ‘per say.’ It’s ‘dog-eat-dog world,’ not ‘doggy-dog world.’ It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’ It’s ‘one and the same,’ not ‘one in the same.’ It's 'buck naked,' not 'butt naked.'

Every time you avoid something uncomfortable, your brain reinforces the idea that avoidance works. It literally strengthens the pathways that make hesitation, procrastination, or excuses automatic. And every time you do the hard thing - even imperfectly — your brain is building a new pathway: this is something I can do.

I’d also say we must always try to make time for what could later become a soufflé moment. And let the mac and cheese moments fuel those others, to find small joys in the “small” work, and to commit and recommit to craft every chance we get.
Melissa Medína@melissamedinavo

If you wanna be a full-time Creative, you have to be okay with the fact that you'll spend years honing your craft, devoted to making the equivalent of a perfect soufflé - only to be asked to make mac and cheese over and over again. But you'll live for the soufflé moments. 🖤

This morning I learned that Dracula and Jell-O are the same age, and I don’t know what to do with the info—other than picture the vampire with a bat-shaped gelatin mold at a potluck. Like no Karen, it’s actually cherry and congealed O negative. Uneducated swine.

@DrewWMcDowell @HarveyK04 Like most recipes, I'm guessing it happened by accident. Too much flour in the custard one day and someone thought, "Hey... not bad!" 😂
