I think this should have been the baseline of how the algorithm works.
It's social media and I followed someone because I want to see what they write about.
Instead I see strangers tweets. So I think this will be great.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

the first time i set pricing for @hyperspell, something broke in my head we could charge whatever we wanted. that felt wrong, like i was waiting for someone to give me permission so i anchored to our costs, which felt responsible. then i noticed our costs are also made up. our vendors set them, their vendors set theirs, and i kept pulling the thread without finding a bottom. nothing in the economy has an inherent price weirdly, this made me more confident, not less when we started, hyperspell wasn’t a word. google split it in two and asked if i meant something else. now it returns pages of results, because we kept insisting it was a thing until enough people agreed a price is a number someone made up and stuck to. same with deadlines. same with companies. hyperspell exists because manu and i said it did, then spent two years making that true everything is made up. might as well be you making it up
