@MuItimach I said it before but Bungie wanted a "hardcore, fast ttk" extraction made for people better than average at pvp. They were warned this was a niche genre and this type would be a lower player base than the other extracts. Now they are stuck trying to change things or fail

Okay what the fuck why is this so good. I’m not even just saying this to glaze the game I enjoy, Joe Ziegler might actually be the most in touch game director we’ve ever had and I have been VERY critical of bungie in the past. Please give this a read, they have so many cool ideas

@MuItimach @AlpacaParkour I totally agree but I think Luke did a great job. The only problem I had was he heads the biggest group in one of the largest games and didn't utilize clans in any way that was significant. He understood what makes clans important and left all of it out in Destiny.

You use the term grifters but there is no con here. When they discuss Bungie's history of failures on many levels in D2. There are also many that hate 4 hate.

It’s not a question directed to me but aside from my personal bias I believe something is wrong with the consumers in the video game industry and you can see that through the games rating. The game is rated very highly and its reviews are all positive but because of the negativity online no one wants to buy the game as they’ve given into the fear online that it will just die. The grifters online have genuinely killed Marathon using bungies poor reputation against them. They’ve created a self fulfilling prophecy the idea that marathon will fail has been posted online since the games release with no base to that claim but it has been spread so far that it’s became reality.

Do we have an official name for these kind of people??? If not we as a Marathon community gotta brain storm a name for these haters! 😭 Does it not get tiring?

What people don't seem to understand is that you can’t convince me Marathon is a bad game just because it isn't a massive hit. My enjoyment of the game isn't tied to its Steam chart. Even if it were to shut down tomorrow, I’d still stand by all the praise I've given it.

@colincowherd heard your take on BB not being a first ballot and agree. You also used the Mona Lisa with no context about it. The painting was viewed as personal royal property rather than a public artwork. There is no comparison here people aren't property in this case.

@BogOnMyDog It is hated on but Bungie said it was t for the casual 1.0 players. It was for the top PvP players.They got what they wanted from the game. Now they have to live with it.

As brain-dead as the steam chart spammers are it really does make me sad that more people aren't playing Marathon. Underrated isn't even the right word, it's just artificially hated which is just a bummer.

Bungie’s community manager is funny to me. Dudes entire job is to be this beacon of hope & positivity that connects to fans, hears their pleas & relays them to the team. Instead he just mass blocks everyone rendering his social media completely pointless to its purpose. It’s a terrible look for anyone who sells a product to be blocking people. Your livelihood depends on social interaction. God Destiny, Marathon, Bungie all of it is such a goddamn mess. What a shame dude

Hey @Bungie Why am I blocked by this guy? I spent $100 for Edge of Fate on Playstation. I have been playing Destiny 2 since the beta. I am one of the few people left making Destiny content. I am wearing Destiny 2 socks. And I am blocked by the community manager. I don't think I have ever interacted with this guy and yet he went on a blocking spree? I am not the only one. So very inclusive of you.
