Six months ago, I started building something I wished existed for the past decade. Since COP22 in Marrakech, I've sat in negotiation rooms, coordination meetings, and policy briefings across the Mediterranean and beyond. The same gap kept showing up: the people drafting climate policy don't have the intelligence tools they need — not more PDFs, but real-time, synthesized, actionable data. That's why I'm building the Green Diplomat Initiative — an AI-powered climate policy intelligence platform designed for the professionals who actually negotiate, draft, and implement climate commitments. Through the #beVisioneers Fellowship by @MercedesBenz , I've gone from concept to a working prototype of the AI Policy Radar — an interactive tool that lets policy officers/practitioners query climate intelligence by country, thematic area, or negotiation track. Key insight from this journey: The gap in climate diplomacy isn't passion or awareness — it's operational intelligence. We don't need more advocates. We need better tools for the people already at the table. Next commitment: pilot-testing the Policy Radar with government officials and regional institution analysts across the MENA and Mediterranean region before COP31. More to come. 🌍 #BeVisioneers #GreenDiplomat #ClimateDiplomacy #AI #PolicyIntelligence #COP31

2/3: Takeaways: 1) Regional integration > isolation: cross‑border grids & investment platforms strengthen security; 2) Inclusive growth matters: youth, women & local communities must drive and benefit from change; 3) Execution over ambition: turn targets into secure, bankable projects and harmonised regulations.

At Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 #ADSW2026 and the 16th @IRENAorg Assembly, global energy leaders gathered to shape the clean energy future. They heard that “the energy transition is unstoppable” – a momentum UfM will harness for the Mediterranean region.

Last week I attended the Concert del Dia de la Mediterrània at the Petit Palau — a beautiful evening honouring our shared Mediterranean identity. Celebrated on 28 November, the concert brought together music, culture, and the spirit of dialogue that connects our region. A special night in Barcelona, held at one of the city’s most iconic venues — Palau de la Música Catalana. Grateful to be part of it. #MediterraneanDay #DiaDeLaMediterrània #Barcelona #PalauDeLaMúsica

Being at COP30 in Belém means standing at the center of global climate action, inside the Amazon where the realities of climate change are urgent and visible. This COP is about collective effort; the Mutirão Global, bringing 198 parties together to protect people, forests, and our shared future. At the Mediterranean Pavilion, the UfM plays a key role in connecting regions, amplifying cooperation, and showcasing how Mediterranean countries can drive practical, scalable climate solutions. From the Mediterranean to the Amazon, I am here to support this work, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to keeping the 1.5°C pathway within reach. @UfMSecretariat

╰┈➤ Honoured to take part in the Middle East & North Africa Young Leaders’ Programme (MDYLP) supported by the GCC Secretariat (@GCCSG ) and the British Embassy in Bahrain (@UKinBahrain) at the International Institute for Strategic Studies IISS Manama Dialogue 2025 (@IISS_org ). I joined defence officials, military commanders, diplomats, and strategists to examine how the region can shift from reactive crisis response to anticipatory security planning. The Manama Dialogue convened at a pivotal moment when regional stability is being reshaped by climate pressures, maritime vulnerabilities, technological escalation, and evolving energy realities, with the Mediterranean emerging as a key corridor for resilience and strategic cooperation. #IISSMD25 #ManamaDialogue #RegionalSecurity #ClimateSecurity #EnergyTransition #MediterraneanSecurity #YouthInPolicy

Pleased to have joined the Final Pitch Event of the UfM Med Youth Lab 2025 in Tirana, first-ever Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue in 2025, as a Juror for the Youth & Climate Adaptation Cluster. The four youth led projects: Seeds of the Future, Seaweed Advocates, EcoVend – Recycle & Finance, and Green H₂ Med Youth Hub, were remarkable in their innovation, clarity, and relevance to advancing climate resilience and sustainability across the Mediterranean. This experience reaffirmed the @UfMSecretariat ’s strong commitment to empowering youth as key partners in shaping regional solutions and driving transformative climate action.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates (@MarocDiplomatie 🇲🇦) organized the High-Level Retreat on the Future of Euro-Mediterranean Relations in Rabat, marking 30 years of the Barcelona Process. Stakeholders from across the region discussed priority areas such as mobility, security, energy, and sustainable development. At this retreat, H.E. Nasser Kamel, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (@UfMSecretariat), underlined the central role of regional cooperation and highlighted the UfM’s efforts as an intergovernmental organisation bringing together 43 countries to advance dialogue, foster partnerships, and promote practical cooperation across key sectors such as energy, climate action, connectivity, and human development. The retreat reaffirmed the shared ambition of building a more resilient and forward-looking Mediterranean.

We don’t just follow. We LEAD. 🌍💪 I was honoured to be featured in this innovative @Connect4Climate interview; to share my perspective on youth leadership in climate action. (@WorldBank) Together, we explored how young people are not only recipients of capacity building, but also providers of it; bringing knowledge, innovation, and leadership to the forefront of climate action. @UfMSecretariat 🤝✨

I recently had the privilege of visiting the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Salé an exceptional institution established in 2009 and further strengthened under the leadership of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, with the vision of nurturing top-tier talent through world-class infrastructure and integrated sport-study programs. As Morocco prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup 2030 alongside Spain and Portugal, this Academy stands not merely as a training ground, but as a strategic pillar of youth empowerment, national ambition, and international cooperation through sport. It is a vivid reminder that the diplomacy of tomorrow can, indeed, begin on the pitch even when you're in a suit and chasing a ball.

I am pleased to join the Climate Leadership and Innovation Conference (CLIC), held from 8 to 10 July 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, and hosted by the African Youth Climate Hub with the support of the Government of Italy (Italian Ministry of Environment and energy security). This capacity-building event focused on empowering the next generation of climate leaders across Africa and beyond. I contributed to the session on “The 2030 Agenda Vision – Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and Localization,” emphasizing the need for integrated and context-sensitive approaches to drive progress. Achieving the SDGs requires stronger regional cooperation, and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) plays a central role in aligning climate and development priorities across the Euro-Mediterranean region
