@MusicJim2 This is not only the high water mark of the Seinfeld show. It's the greatest episode of anything ever. Elaine - the brave rebel who rejects the soup nazis authority & brings down his regime once it becomes personal. Genius setup for the perfect ending. #seinfeld #soupnazi

The Beatles Legacy
The Beatles Legacy@TheBeatlesPMcC·
Dans cette chanson Taxman, George dira "There's one for you nineteen for me". "Taxman", The Beatles, 1966.

Does he hear himself? He told us three stories, one proved that going to gather round is as expensive as an overseas trip, one family saves for 12 months just to go, and one goes every second year because it’s too expensive. Then at the at the end he says it’s not too expensive

@Baddiel Georges solo acoustic version on anthology 3 is also incredible. The gap between his and John/Pauls song writing craft was starting to shrink after returning from their mind expanding trip to India. This YouTube clip on the song is worth a look youtu.be/nDCMK2VPeBA?si…

The piano at the start of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is incredible. It’s even more incredible that it doesn’t repeat anywhere else in the song youtu.be/YFDg-pgE0Hk?is…

@tce71 @VinceRugari Thats @VinceRugari point. Sponsors/broadcasters care because of their bottom line. Ultimately the traditional fan doesn't care & will watch GF anytime. That said, imo the AFL is holding the start time back when time comes to renegotiate a new deal. Why give it to them for free?

@VinceRugari Sponsors might care a lot. Broadcasters, who spend a lot of money to get the rights, might care a lot. Why pay more money to sponsor the AFL when more eyeballs are on the NRL ?

@DogsBreakfastFC @FOXFOOTY No it isnt. He is saying we were offered 3 first rounder - they were not quality picks. If they were 3 top 10 maybe. We already had 3 x 10 picks and 2 the yesr before

"Essendon are no longer part of the big four. They're not a big club!" The Bombers' decades of woes mean they're no longer among the Victorian powers, and refusing to trade Zach Merrett will only make it worse, says #OnTheCouch's Jack Riewoldt.

@maxlaughton Teams playing opening round have an obvious advantage over those that don't so bookies factor this into the odds when pricing favourites... not to mention teams selected for OR are better anyway

If I’m reading the numbers right (on my phone), the betting favourite is 10-2 in Round 1 games between Did Play Opening Round and Didn’t Play Opening Round. You can make the stat suit your argument however you like, basically.
Mitch Cleary@cleary_mitch

Teams that played OR v teams that didn’t in R1 are 9-2 2024 Melbourne ✅  Brisbane ❌ Gold Coast ✅  GWS ✅  2025 Sydney ❌ Hawthorn ✅  GWS ✅  Collingwood ✅  2026 Carlton ✅  Geelong ✅  Hawthorn ✅  Collingwood ?

@TheMonologist 2 things about that bit: 1) the actor who liked apples was probably well-paid to say the line. It's a movie. He made money, doing a job. 2) So you got her number, big deal. Many dates go poorly. They might not click. She might drive him crazy. Relationships are rough, sometimes.

Bob Dylan at the Mariposa Folk Festival, July 1972. Photo by Keith Beaty. He wasn't there to play—he was there to listen. Dylan showed up unannounced specifically to see Leon Redbone perform. He wandered the grounds in a red bandana and glasses, trying to blend in, but was eventually mobbed by fans and had to make an escape on a police boat!

@hanjum82 @CricketopiaCom lol what. His plan of getting 30 runs in first powersurge over hinged on keeping strike. It worked because of his champion mindset #BBL15

@CricketopiaCom Smith is an elite performer, but untamed dominance needs checking. Yesterday set a wrong precedent for kids – borderline bullying: public frustration at Babar, denying a single, calling Power Surge solo. Superiority ≠ entitlement. Short-term gains, long-term cultural damage.

“At the 10 over mark, they said take the Surge straightaway and I said give us one over, I want to target the short boundary. I reckon I can 30 off it and I think we took 32 in the end. It was a good Surge. Not sure Babar was too happy with me” ~ Smith

In my teenage years my mum and I had an argument. She felt bad about it and wanted to make it up with me so she bought me a poster for ny bedroom wall. My favourite musician at the time was Mick Ronson but she remembered his name wrong and bought me a poster of this guy.
