This attack on Breakfast Clubs from a Reform council leader is ignorant. Breakfast clubs aren't just about nutrition, they mean the child is more ready for formal classroom learning as they have already been in a school environment for c45 mins. They enable working parents to get to work earlier and earn more. And having visited some in my constituency it is obvious the children enjoy being there!

This afternoon I spotted a pigeon with two feet tied together with nylon thread with the toes on both feet knotted up. Thankfully the string had not yet got embedded into her skin. I spent an hour coaxing her near to me with seeds. All thread was removed. Result.

Told yesterday of a couple in their 80’s who went to their GP surgery to make an appointment to change her tablets as she has cancer. She was told she couldn’t have an appointment for several weeks. They sat in shock, then a woman who couldn’t speak much English came in to book and was given one the following day.
The gentleman went to complain and was told they get paid £184 to give an appointment to the other lady.
Shocking. 2-tier system.

At the polling station an elderly lady presented her polling card only to be told she couldn't vote because she didn't have photo-id. She did not have a passport or a driving license but had a utility bill with her address & a credit card with her signature. She was 89

The vicious nature and bigoted views of the British middle class here for all to see - every working class person of an age was educated by school teachers like this - this is how working class children learn about the class system through the contempt their teachers have for their families& communities

According to the Telegraph, there has been a rush to buy tumble dryers since Ed Miliband mentioned cancelling them.
I bet half these people will be moaning about their high electricity costs and that will be Miliband's fault too. I have a tumble dryer, I never think about using it.
