In 2021 at 84, my dad, Leo volunteered for the 1st time @Southportpkrun
In Feb 24 he volunteered his 127th and final time
He died 2 weeks later😢
He was an avid writer of thank you letters but didn't have the opportunity to thank parkrun...

For 249 parkruns I have been guided using a tether. But today for my 250th #parkrun @Southportpkrun I ran untethered & it felt amazing! With the help of 4 #guiderunners who kept me safe and gave me verbal cues to get round I finished in 26:57 #Blind #BlindRunner #LoveParkrun
